A couple hundred lycans enter Dreamlanders' land from the woods. It's been two days since the agreement was made. Early this morning, half of Hazel's army left to make their way to Dustfall.
Hazel strolls over to the massive group, and everyone turns their attention to her. "Welcome to our pack," Hazel says loud and confident. "I would like you to separate yourselves into groups of five, then a group of warriors from my pack will take you to your rooms. Then I would like my members to bring you to the training grounds, where you will train together. Now, who did Alpha Quinton put in charge?"
A young girl steps forwards and holding herself high as she approaches Hazel. The girl is quite short, her hair falls down just below her chin. The girl is mixed race from the colour of her skin. Hazel smiles at the thought that Quinton is giving a woman a chance to be in charge, not only the males. The girl sticks out her hand and Hazel wraps hers around it. "I'm Zara."
"Nice to meet you. Will you also be training?" Zara nods and smiles. "Ok, Darcy will show you to your room."
Easton appears among the large group of young warriors. "Alpha Hazel," he bows his head in respect.
"Easton."
"Your pack has settled in well and are beginning their training later tonight," he smiles, clasping his hands together behind his back:
"Great, I hope to do the same for your pack."
"Alpha Quinton would like to have a meeting with you some time soon. He would like to discuss battle plans," Easton informs her.
"Ok, is he coming here?"
"I don't know, you'll have to discuss that with him."
Hazel nods and makes her way over to Alonzo. He stands on the side lines watching everyone interact with each other, loud chatter fills the woods. Hazel stands beside him, his eyes never looking at her. "What you thinking about Alonzo?"
"It's just hard to believe another pack is on our land, and aren't trying to start a war with us," he folds his arms.
"It's pretty amazing," Hazel watches the warriors laugh and have loud conversations. "It's honestly really nice to see."
After years of packs looking down on them and treating them like dirt, it was finally looking up. Dustfall was accepting them as a real pack, not Rogues. Not lycans that betrayed their own kind. A smile makes its way onto Hazel's face, watching the two packs getting along so well made her heart fill up with hope.
Maybe Quinton and I could work?
Hazel's hopeful expressions drops as she watches a male, from Quinton's pack lunge at a male member from her own pack. They begin wrestling each other on the ground, and anger bubbles inside of Hazel. Before either of them could shift Hazel runs over.
"Stop!" They both look at Hazel with fear across their faces. "Stand up," she commands them in her alpha voice. They both scramble up onto their feet. "Both of you come with me." Hazel leads them to her office, and they both stand a meter away from each other. She holds a stern look. "Names?"
"Ben Jones," the member from her own pack mumbles.
"Austin Hamilton," Hazel writes down both names into her notebook.
"Care to tell me why you two started a fight?" Hazel leans back in her chair, pen still in her hand.
"He gave me a dirty look," Austin mumbles once again. Hazel rolls her eyes.
"That's very childish off you Austin. I will not punish either of you, but you have set a bad example to how we should react to our guests. We must treat them with respect, and I hope they will also treat us with respect. Ben just because you didn't start it doesn't mean you didn't encourage it. I don't know what you said to each other, but next time just walk away. However, I would like to think there won't be a next time. You are dismissed," Hazel gestures to the door. They both scramble out the door.
"Your Alpha is scary," Austin whispers to Ben.
"I know."
Hazel sighs and leaves her office. With her head held high, she makes her way down to the training grounds. Hazel stands on the side lines watching the pairs practice fighting. She was observing a pair that was a boy and girl. The girl was definitely from Dustfall, and the boy was Terrence one of boarder guards.
The girl swings at Terrence, he quickly blocks every single one, the girl was trying but it could see she wasn't putting in her full effort. Hazel approaches the pair, she watches for a couple of moments.
"Sweetheart, the Vargulfs won't
be this nice. I know you can do better. What's your name?" Hazel stops them. The girls chest moves up and down with her breathing out of rhythm."Elise," the girl was short, had very pale skin with freckles dotted across her cheeks and nose, her long straight dark brown hair was pulled back into a low ponytail. She was very skinny and didn't seem to have much muscle.
"These Vargulfs don't play nice. There vicious creatures with no guilty conscious. If you fight like that you'll be dead in the first twenty seconds. Now Terrence here, has been attacked many of times, hit him hard. Don't worry he'll get over it. Feel free to hurt his pride," Terrence looks over to Hazel with a dirty look. Elsie nods her head slowly. She thought it was strange the Alpha was here during their training, in her own pack that was rare. "Now, show me what you really got."
Terrence and Elise turn back round to face each other, both falling into a fighting stance. Elise throws a few punches in his direction, out of all the punches she into hit him once. Terrence blocks most of the punches and slides his leg behind hers and she falls to the ground. "Find his weak spot."
Elise punches his left side catching him off guard and quickly hits the right, swinging a final punch she slides her foot behind his legs, knocking him to the ground. Then she sits on top of him, singling that she won. A huge grin plastered across her face.
"Well done," Hazel smiles. Elise jumps to her feet and holds out a hand for Terrence. He grips his hands round hers and helps him onto his feet.
"You just got beat by a girl!"
