"HAZEL!"

"What?" Hazel shouts back to her annoying cousin, who's staying the weekend.

"Don't you have any chocolate in this house?" Catrina opens the door to Hazel's office, her hair pulled back away from her face in a neat bun and a slight bump of her stomach in the tight dress navy dress.

Hazel rolls her eyes and sets down the papers in her hand with a sigh. "No."

"What? What kind of monster are you?" Catrina says disgusted.

"A Lycan," This answer causes Catrina to roll her eyes. "I'll send someone to buy you some, write a small list of what you would like."

"Great! Thank you!" She grins and then pulls a serious face. "Your more grumpy than normal, what's up?" Curiosity getting the better of her.

"How so?" Hazel mumbles, lifting a pen from her pot of pens. Acting like nothing has happened.

"Well your moping in here all day, your putting up with my annoying-ness, and just look at you!" She closes the door and approaches the desk, with a determined expression.

"Can I ask you a question?" Hazel nervously twirls the pen between her finger and rolls her lips.

"Yeah, shoot," Catrina plops herself down on the chair in front of the desk, folding her arms. Hazel sighs and thinks about the right words to choose.

"How- how did you feel when you met your mate?" She nervously looks at the table, scared to meet her eyes.

"I was pretty shocked. I was so young, fourteen to be exact. He was also so much older than me, and I didn't really know what to think. But then as I got older and I got to know him more, I just couldn't stay away. It's hard to explain how I felt. It was difficult at the start but it all fell into place. Now with this little one on the way six years later, I couldn't be happy," she rests a hand on the small bump, with a small smile playing on her lips. "Why do you ask?"

"No reason," Hazel rolls her lips, a nervous habit, and looks back down to her work.

"You found your mate didn't you?" Catrina grins. Hazel didn't reply. "Oh my gosh! Why didn't you tell me?! Who is he? Where is he? Hazel!" Hazel sighs and looks up at her. "What?"

"He's not part of the Dreamlanders."

"Oh, Well neither is Noah and he's an Alpha, but it works."

"What did you think when you found out he was an Alpha?" Hazel asks, looking up and leaning back in her chair, trying her best to stay calm.

"At first I was shocked and slightly scared, but as I thought about it Alpha blood clearly runs in our family, so it wasn't so strange. Wait... he's an Alpha!" She exclaims, standing up.

"Shhhh, no one knows."

"Wait what? Why? Where is he?" Catrina face looking lost and confused.

"I think I might reject him," Hazel sighs, with many thoughts running through her head. Catrina's jaw drops to the floor, as she's lost for words.

"Why?!"

"Because he's an Alpha and I am an Alpha... my pack need me," a sad smile sits on Hazel's lips, as she looks up to her cousin.

"Yes, but your happiness should be put first Hazel. You know this is a once in a lifetime opportunity," Catrina speaks softly, placing a hand on her stomach. Hazel's gaze falls to the desk. Irritation then begins to fill Hazel, no one understands how she's feeling, no one understands why she was making the decisions she is, and no one will understand.

"I know, but this pack is everything to my family. To our family. I'm a only child, there's no one to take my place," Hazel sighs trying to contain her anger. "I've got work to do," Hazel gestures to the door, not wanting to hear anymore. Catrina stares at her for a moment with a frown, then turns she turns on her heel, silently shuffling out the door. Once the door clicks closed, Hazel groans and rests her head in her hands, elbows resting on the table.

Too many feelings whirl around in Hazel's stomach. Thoughts causing her head to pound. This decision has to be made soon, but it had to be made probably - not rushed - but thought out. It was a life-changing choice. The hardest decision that Hazel will ever have to make. It would be a dream for Hazel to choose her heart over her head.

However it's only going to be a fragment of her imagination. The feelings will rest at the bottom of her heart till the end of her time. Shutting her eyes closed, she thinks to herself.

What am I going to do?

A/N
Hey!

So I'm making a few changes to some of the chapters, but only things like descriptions.

Chapter one I gave Darcy and Alonzo a description on what they look like to give you a feel for their characters.

So if you wanna know more about them, just go back to chapter one and find the descriptions!

Oh! And I'm also doing revision for exams in May and June, so updates may be slower or they may be the same.

Thank you!

Lots of love,

Lauren xx
