Darcy pounces on another wolf, growling and snarling. She claws at the grey wolf pulling him apart, killing him by biting his neck. Another wolf jumps on her from behind, this topples her over onto the blood covered grass. They both tackle each other, biting, scratching and clawing, Darcy paws the wolf's face and he whimpers in pain, she takes this moment of weakness to turn him over and bite his neck. Her teeth sink deep, until she feels his huge body fall limp. Looking up she sees a rogue, in his human form, aiming a gun at her. Panic seeps through her as she knows it'll only take one bullet will kill her. Their eyes catch one another's and Darcy feels her heart drop.
Her mate is holding a gun to end her.
The rogue's deep blue eyes soften as he stares at Darcy. He lowers his gun and looks away from Darcy, his eyes finding the muddy ground below him. He takes a deep breath and walks away from Darcy, she stares after him in disbelief. However she doesn't even have to process what has just happened, as a another vargulf attacks her. Darcy wrestles the wolf, he claws at her causing damage, but not enough to stop her as she bites his neck and snaps it. Darcy then sprints in the direction of her mate.
Her paws thud along the ground and she jumps over many dead wolves and bodies, she also dodges bullets in determination to find her mate. Darcy stops abruptly as a sprinting Alonzo catches her attention. She watches him as he runs towards the pack house a gun in hand. Darcy looks around trying to find the beautiful blue eyes, but she only met with destruction and blood. Turning around she sprints after Alonzo.
Just meters away from the pack house she realises his not alone. The door is open and Alonzo aims the gun through the open door with a man standing right behind him. Something shines in the man's hand. Darcy freezes up and panics darting towards them. A gunshot fills her ears and sadness engulfs her as she watches the blade enter his back. The world around Darcy stops moving as her eyes follow Alonzo as he stuffers trying to gasp for air and he finally falls onto the porch.
Standing in shock, Darcy eyes wander to the man who killed him. Anger begins to build up inside her as she looks at Hays. He then walks inside, leaving a bleeding out Alonzo on the porch. Darcy runs towards him, she whines and nudges him with her nose making no difference. Her eyes scan her surrounds and she spots a dress thrown over the side of the railings of the porch. Bones crack as her body becomes human, grabbing the long black dress she throws it over her head. It loosely flows around her, stopping below her knees. Darcy rushes over to Alonzo placing he hands on his chest. "Alonzo!" She places her hand on his cold lifeless cheek. Blood covers most of his body and around his mouth He lies on his side in a puddle of his own blood surrounding him. His lifeless eyes are wide open. With her other hand, Darcy slowly closes his eyes closed. Bringing her hand up to her own face she swipes away the hot tears. She sobs quietly pulling Alonzo close to her not caring she was covering herself in blood. "I'm so sorry!" Darcy cries.
She could've prevented this if she don't get side tracked by her mate. If she got here only a couple of seconds before it could've made all the difference. "I'll miss you Alonzo..." She gently rests him back onto his side, pushing his dark hair away from his face. Darcy's eyes widen as another gunshot goes off from inside the pack house. Looking towards Alonzo again her face becoming serious.
Darcy gets up and heads towards the window to investigate.
