Hazel wakes up in quite a bit of pain. Not just from her side, but all over. Have you ever fallen asleep in a position and you wake up in that same position and your whole body is cramped? Well, that's how Hazel feels; but ten times worse.
Hazel squints her eyes, as the bright lights shine down on her. "Hazel?" A unfamiliar voice speaks beside her. She turns her head to meet the person's ocean eyes."Who are you?" In a way the man looks familiar to her, but Hazel knew she had never met him before.
"I'm Robbie, Quinton's brother," he smiles. Quinton and Robbie have very similar facial features, but he has deep blue eyes and pitch black hair, that was long and falls just below his chin.
"Oh. Where's Quinton?" Hazel asks trying to pull herself into a sitting position.
"I wouldn't do that if I was you. The bullet was sliver and will make you really weak for the next day or two; it's also the reason your wound hasn't fully healed yet," she nods her head slowly, but makes herself sit up anyway. Hazel winces slightly as the pain shoots up her side. "Quinton went to your pack to make sure everything was ok there."
Hazel eyebrows raise, brushing her hair away from her face. Hazel knew she looked a mess, but she didn't really care all that much. "Why did he do that? He didn't have to."
"I don't know, you can ask him when he comes back. He wanted to be here when you woke up, but he wasn't sure if your pack had been attacked or not."
"My pack would've been ok, Alonzo is there. What about the boy?" Hazel asks very concerned. All she could remember was the boy being dragged away screaming and crying, while she was on the ground in pain.
"We don't know. We will get him back. There most likely going to use the boy against us," He explains, leaning back in the chair he is sitting in.
"What about his parents?"
"His mother is in bits. The father passed away a couple of months ago and the mother has been in a bad state since. I think her son was the only thing keeping her somewhat sane. I don't know what we're going to do, she furious," Robbie shakes his head.
"We have to get the boy back," Hazel says, with a thoughtful expression. "He's innocent and this war has nothing to do with him."
"How will we do that?"
"I'm not sure. I'll figure something out. However, something tells me Hays will not stop until he has my land and Quinton's land," she sighs, resting her hands on her lap. She feels so weak and tired. "I need to nap ."
"Of course, I'll let you get some rest," Robbie pushes the chair back and stands up. "I'll see you later then."
"Yeah."
The door clicks shut and Hazel leans back trying to mind-link. The sliver had made her so weak, that her brain was foggy.
Alonzo?
