Chapter 9

~Willy~

The next day was Thursday and before I left lunch to meet up with Alex and Gregory, I decided to go to Nicki's table and apologize to her in front of all her friends. I didn't have time to talk to her in private.

"Hey Nicki, I just uhh...wanted to say sorry for being such an ass yesterday."

"Boy bye" Candice said.

"Pfft, that was dry. Nicki deserves a real apology" that white girl said.

"Okay, I don't have time for this, I tried" I said, then I left.

I was blocked by this girl on my way out of the cafeteria. Her name is Miley Cyrus, and besides Nicki and her crew, Miley and her crew are the most popular people in the entire school.

"Uhhh, can this wait? I really gotta go" I said.

"It'll only take a second. Here" she said, and then handed me an invitation to her party on Saturday at 8:00PM.

"Thanks, see ya there" I said, then got going.

"What the hell guys? You didn't even give me a chance to respond!" I yelled.

"Were you even going to? You said you were done with him right now" Robyn answered.

"Yeah but--"

"And to be honest he didn't even seem that interested in talking to you. To me it was just kinda like a 'hey look its Nicki, I may as well say sorry to her for being an ass while still being an ass' thing" Katy said.

"Alright. I get it, I just wanted a chance to talk. For the record, he was addressing me."

"Yeah you've got a point there" Mariah said. "So, tell me again just how well this date went."

"Ugh, I told you already. We had dinner at Va Va Voom, like the fancy section. And it was nice" I said with a smile.

"Yeah, you said that. But like, details Nicki! Spill the tea!" Mariah said.

"Onika Tanya Maraj! Are you blushing?" Candice boomed.

"You did not just call me that" I hissed, getting rid of the blush.

"Sorry sorry!" she quickly apologized.

"Hmm, I don't know Candy. That apology was a little dry" I said.

"Shut the fuck up" she said with a chuckle.

"So, are there gonna be any more dates in the near future?" Paris asked.

"I don't know..." I said, probably blushing again.

"No rehearsal today right?" she asked.

"Nope!"

"Do you think Wayne will ask you out on another date? You certainly have a lot more free time after school" she replied.

"Uhhh I don't know."

"Have you guys kissed???" Mariah asked.

"No! Ew! I don't even know if I like him like that" I said cowardly.

"Has he at least tried to kiss you?" Robyn asked.

"I don't know....its hard to tell. Sometimes there are these moments of silence when we just kinda stare into each other's eyes but then he ruins it by farting or something."

"Okay. Um. Ew" Paris responded. We laughed.

"Okay so, here's my list of students in the library the other day" Alex said, handing me her list.
