The bright desert sun was burning on your skin. Your hair sticks to your shoulders and neck. You wipe the sweat away from your head.
You know you are almost there. You can see a building in the distance. You drink the last drop of water and put the bottle back securely.
Thomas walks outside, searching for your figure.
"{Your name}!" Thomas waves at you. He squints his eyes as he sees something black appear behind you.
You don't hear a thing. Your senses have got minimal. You don't hear an engine roaring behind you.
"{Your name}! Watch out!" Thomas shouts at the top of his lungs before seeing something horrific.
A strong force hits you, your whole body flies a few feet away. You're still conscious and see a car driving away at full speed, the car hit you.
Why would a car hit you?
You can still open your eyes but your body is paralyzed. You're terrified, you can't move a muscle.
Thomas has reached you by now and crouches down, lifting your head in his lap.
He sees the tears dripping down your face.
"Thomas I- I can't move," you whimper.
"It's gonna be okay babygirl, it's gonna be okay."
