4. {A Girl Like You}

We have arrived at school, once I go inside I go into the lounge with Cheryl. Jughead and SweetPea give me a look, and then they come up to me.

"So this is the reason you were so 'distracted'" Jughead says using air quotes when saying distracted.

SweetPea stand behind him with his arms folded across his chest. I look at both of them and I shake my head, then I move my sight to the ground.

"It's a long story guys, I promise." I know it really wasn't that complex but I didn't know how to make the situation better.

"And we have time" SweetPea says still with his arms crossed. And Jughead nods agreeing with him.

"She got kicked out of her house, by her b.itchy mother. So I invited her to stay with me, I just made sure she was okay" I sigh knowing they were going to be mad at me.

They have every right to be mad at me.

"Is this girl that important to you?" Jughead asks me

I look up at him.

"I-I don't know.." I shrug while saying

"Mhm" Jughead hums

"Honestly guys... I'm going to be at the whyte wyrm tonight. So if anything goes down I'll be there, happy?" I say to both of them now crossing my arms across my chest.

Jughead looks at SweetPea, and SweetPea looks at Jughead. Then they both look at me.

"See you then, Topaz" SweetPea says,then both of them walking away.

After that fun conversation I go over to English class, and I take my seat which was next to Cheryl's.

I was out in the hallway by my locker talking to Fangs, next thing I know I see Cheryl making a random grand entrance. She was walking down the stairs with a few football players, and a few vixens. Everybody was staring at her like she was a goddess. I was just staring, wondering how she could always be so perfect no matter what she does.

Her and her "squad" walked past me and she just gave me a glare. Why does she act so different in school?

After her walking past I just kept continuing talking to Fangs.

After school I walk out to my bike, I started up the bike and I was about to drive off but Cheryl stood in front of it. I looked up and her with my eyes and didn't say anything.

"Do I not get a ride today?" She asks putting a hand on her hip.

"Didn't think you wanted one" I say back to her.

"Why do you seem like you have a problem with me right now?" She says confused.

"I'm not, now let's go" I say back to her.

She puts on a helmet and wraps her arms around my waist.

D.amn she's pretty, but she can be really confusing, and a lot of work.

We arrived at my house and we walked inside together, when we went in my brother was sitting on the couch watching something.

"Hey Teo" I say giving him a faint smile.

He gives me a nod and I continue on walking to my bedroom.

My brother isn't home all the time, he comes and goes. He usually out with his friends or his girlfriend. He was 2 years older than me and was old enough to move out, but he comes back when he wants.
