18. {Perfect For Me}

Cheryl-

All four of us went to school together, but of course we all went out separate ways when we got into the school. Except Toni and I, we both had the same first class so we stuck together. I still remember when she first came to the school, I hated but loved her sitting by me. I knew I was always attracted to her, but I hid my feelings. But now I sit by her in class, and I just admire it.

Surprisingly we got to class super early, not even the teacher was in there yet. We took our seat, and I turned my body to face her. I grabbed her hand and I started to play with a ring on her finger.

"You okay?" She asks.

I look up at her.

"Of course. Everything Is perfect." I say smiling at her.

Toni-

"Toni..." She says looking deeply into my eyes.

"Yeah?" I say looking at her confused.

"Well firstly, Betty said Polly was bringing Dagwood and juniper over to there house, and I was thinking we could go over there to spend some time with them." She asks still playing with my ring.

"Yeah, of course! I would love to do that." I say with a bright smile.

I thought it was cute her inviting me to be with her niece and nephew, I love to continue being closer to her and people in her family.

"And also, I was thinking-" she starts saying but then the bell rings, and then the kids start filling in the class.

She let's go of my hand and we sit in our seats normally.

The whole time in class we just kept glaring at each other, and would let out a little chuckle every time we caught each other. Like we were in elementary school. I mean it was cute and all, but I love seeing Cheryl's soft side in school.

It was time for cheer practice, we all went into the locker room to change. I was still waiting for me and Cheryl to be alone for her to tell me what she wanted to tell me, it has been on my mind all day, could it be bad? Could it be good?

"Has anyone seen midge?" Cheryl asked out to all the girl.

It went quite as all the girls looked around.

"No? Well that's going to be extra work for her then." Cheryl says with attitude. "Also, everyone better be out of the locker room in three minutes sharp." She says then walking out of the locker room into the gym.

I was ready, so I started walking to the gym just a few moments later. But before I just got to the doors, I heard Cheryl scream horror movie style. My heart instantly dropped and I ran into the gym. I saw Cheryl panicked and then I looked in front of me. It was midge, midge was pinned on the wall by knifes, dead. There was writing around her, a lot of things that wrote of 'B.H'.

I grabbed Cheryl and I pulled her out of the gym, I didn't want her staring at it anymore. We got into the locker room again and all the girls huddled around her.

"What happened?" A girl asked.

Cheryl didn't speak up, so I'd figure I'd have to.

"It's midge... s-shes dead." I sigh. "This practice is dismissed, you all can leave." I demanded.

I pull Cheryl to where nobody was, just so I can comfort her in peace. Once we were alone, I hugged her and I gently rubbed her back, letting her know it was okay to cry into my shoulder.
