I woke up in the middle of the night to my dad yelling my name. 'Good he's drunk.' I thought sarcastically. When ever he goes out he comes back drunk, mad, and beats me while yelling that I'm the reason why my mom left.
"Kas where are you!" He yelled
'There's no use of ignoring him, he'll just come into my room anyway so might as well get it over with.' I thought as I walked out of my room.
"You know I really hate you for what you did." My Father said
"And what was that?" I ask sarcastically
"When you made your mother leave with the twins." He said walking closer to me
"You were the one who had an affair I just told mom about it." I defended
"You know what I'm done with your shit boy you don't talk back to me." He yelled as he slung his fist across my face. I grabbed my cheek as I almost fell over.
"Get out of my house!" He yelled
I ran out of the front door and I ran for a little bit until I got to my best friend Ian's house. I don't know if he's back from New York yet but I know where his spare key is. Once I got into to his house I got out my phone and texted him.

Kas: Hey Ian I'm in your house.
Ian: Y?!?
Kas: My father is being a dick so I came to your house to escape from him.
Ian: Okay you know I don't care if your in my house. You can do anything you want as long as you don't go into my parents room.
Kas: I already know that okay so are you coming back soon?
Ian: I'm coming back tomorrow.
Kas: When you get back I need your help with something.
Ian: What is it. Is it something to do with the horses
Kas: Yes Buffy is sick I need your mom to help her
Ian: Okay see you tomorrow
Kas: Bye dude
When Me and Ian stopped texted I quickly walked to the second floor and entered his room. I looked around at the multiple football trophies Ian has lining the shelves on his walls. I made my way around the room before sitting on Ians bed. I slowly put my hand on Ians pillows and pulled one into my arms inhaling deeply taking in his scent. My breath came out shaky as I fell over laying in his bed my arms wrapped around the pillow as I drifted off to sleep.
