Kas P.O.V

My eyes slowly opened to see my father sitting in a chair as the strong mildew smell hit my face that I had forgotten. Somehow it was familiar but everything was just cold and damp.

“Do you know how long I've waited for this moment??” My father growled standing and slowly walking towards me putting something in his pocket “After years of you running and ruining my life I finally have the opportunity to give you what you deserve, and there's nowhere for you to run!” He laughed sadistically as he approached. He grabbed my hair and pulled me up. “I never liked this stupid hair cut or color but you had to defy me, especially those ridiculous piercings!” He yelled grabbing one of my piercings and ripping it from my ear letting my loud scream fill the air as I grabbed my ear but also tried to hold my hair so the pain would be less. I gave up on my ear and had both my hands under his where he held me by my hair. He took one hand and pulled out something from his pocket, something dark and small. With a click sound a shiny blade popped out from the dark round shape. My father smiled a terrifying smiled as I look up at him horrified.

Ian P.O.V

A single tear raced down my cheek as I blinked. My father stood up as I told him what happened to Kas.

“Let's go find this boy!” My father said standing.

“We'll wait honey!” My mother said grabbing his arm

“We need to call the police!” I said trying to be heard.

“We need to go find this boy.” My father said  ignoring me

“We have no clue where he is! He could be anywhere.” My mother said sadly

“Hello?” I said wondering if I'm still being ignored

“What Ian?” My father said looking over to me.

“His father wouldn't have had time to get a really secret location and he would go to the place he thinks is safest most likely!” Each word came out slowly as I pieced together a sentence.

“So where's that?” My father asked me

“I-I’m not sure really.” I almost whispered as I looked to the floor

“Well the pig is probably back at his house because that's the only place he ever was. Disgusting man.” My mother said angrily about Kas's father. I'm pretty sure most people would agree about Kas's father being a pig but , I think my mother is on to something.

“Wait… what if that's where he is!” I exclaimed looking from my father to my mother.

“Then get in the car, we'll check and if he's there we'll call 911. If we file a report they won't really do anything but if we say our adopted son is being held captive and god knows what else then they have to come if we give them an address.” My father said placing his large hand on my shoulder.

“Let's do it!” I said back to my father

“I'm not sure about this but alright let's go then.” My mother said her face unsure. My father grabbed his keys and we all followed out to his car. When we entered no one really said anything, there wasn't much to say in this situation. When we reached his house I jumped out the door and ran up to his house.

“Ian wait !” my mother called as she stepped out of the car. My mother ran over to me and wright when my father got up to the front door along with me and my mother he opened the unlocked door and faint screen went through the house.  I quickly ran through the house searching for where he could be when I found a weird door and the back of the house. It was older and looked dirty. I slowly opened the door to see a small area to stand then to my left stairs to the basement I didn't know existed was there. My mother and father were soon behind me as we heard panting, groans, shuffling, and inaudible words.

“I'm going to call the police.” My mother said backing up

“Good we'll try and get Kas out before anything life threatening happens.” I said but my mother quickly responded as I barely finished my sentence.

“No you will not you're to stay here. Now I'm going to step outside and call the police.” My mother said walking away.

“Let's go son. He needs us.” My father smiled as we both slowly made our way down the stairs. I went first and when I got a little bit down the stairs I crouched down and looked around the basement. There was a single light that came from a weak light in a table. Next to the table I saw Kas's father and then Kas hanging from the ceiling by his hands in only his pants. There was a knife sticking out if his thigh and small bruises along his body. His head lay limp against his shoulder as a small stream of blood came from his nose and a small scrape to his head. His father punched his body letting it swing with every impact like it was raw meat. His father ripped the knife from Kas's thigh. His head lifted and he let out a low groan as his head fell back to his shoulder. I covered my mouth as a tear streamed down my cheek.
