“Hey!” Someone called behind my father. He slung his head around and stared angrily at the culprit who interrupted my beating.
“What do you want!” My father growled not releasing his hand from my jaw
“I need you to release Kas! Child abuse is wrong in every way!” He said sternly
“It’s my son and I can do what I want to him!” My father said turning to me “Do you know him?”
“I-I-I” My father punched my gut before I could say anything and I fell to the ground. He kicked my gut a couple times. The one who interrupted starring horrified.
“Speak when I talk to you!” My father yelled but quickly turned around as he heard the sirens of the police pull into the yard. The came to a skidding stop and ran into the stables. There was 3 of them each held their guns pointed at my father.
“Release the boy and come quietly! Everything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law!” The first one said. The other two stood next to him. My father glared at me before walking towards the police. One of the police quickly grabbed my father’s arms and handcuffed his hands behind him walking back the cop car. The other cop followed.
“Dispatch this is k-9 unit 2316. We need an ambulance here possible broken bones maybe internal bleeding.” The third cop said into his walkie talkie before walking over to me as I laid curled up in a ball on the ground. My whole body hurt. My face, my stomach mainly but my head also hurt. I hit it on the ground when I fell.
“Can you sit up?” The cop said placing a hand on my shoulder. I groaned in pain as the officer stood and walked to the boy who called the police. I never got a chance to see him but his voice sounded familiar.
“What’s your name?” the officer said to him
“I-Is he gonna be okay?!?” the boy almost cried worriedly
“We don’t know most likely but an ambulance is on the way now I need your name.”
“M-My name is Ian Wednesday.” Ian stuttered. I quickly shifted my gaze to Ian surprised he was here yet also embarrassed he had to see me like this. My shirt lifted a little where my father kicked me and you could see my stomach. It had a purplish tint and it was getting darker. I tried to handle the pain but it was so intense that I had blocked out the noise and I could just see the officer and Ian talked. I whined softly seeing them turn to me. Ian ran to me and skidding on his knees falling to the ground in front of me. His mouth moved but no sound came out. I was tired and I wanted to sleep but I couldn’t. My eyelids fluttered open and closed. I heard the sound of the ambulance pulling up as I finally fell asleep when Ian placed his hand on my shoulder looking worried. I don’t know why he was worried when I’m asleep It’s like the pain goes away. I liked being asleep. It was nice.
