“I better head home.” My tone flat as I spoke nervously getting up
“Well I’ll see you later bud! Remember, don’t let your dad push you around!” Ian smiled
“Thanks! Will do!” I smiled as I left his room waving to his mother in the kitchen as I left the house. I slowly walked down the street remembering what happened earlier. The way he looked talked and touched me even if not sexual it was for me. I just like --no love him so much. I know we’ve been friends for years, since I moved here with my dad during the divorce. I’ve liked him the entire time. I just wish I could tell him but he’s not gay. Maybe there’s a chance he could be! I mean he was holding himself up by my chest but maybe there was nowhere else. I can hope but he’s not gay.

I sat on my bed thinking about Kas. At school there was this rumor going around that he was gay but he can’t be gay. Me and him have been friends for years he can’t be gay. I would’ve known and besides he said he wasn’t. It’s weird anyway for guys to like guys. Ew.

I walked into my house to see my dad passed out on the couch like usual. I went up stairs and took a quick shower before walking out to my yard. We had around 10 acres give or take. Our stables and pasture were we keep the horses takes up about 5 but the rest is for riding. I walked down to the stables where one horse stood in his stable. Buffy wasn’t in the pasture because he hasn’t been feeling to well. I remember at the sight of Buffy that Ian promised he would help. Maybe I will take him up on that. I smiled to myself but stop as quickly as I started.
“Why you smiling boy?!?” My father growled as he stood in the doorway of the stables.
“I-I” I quickly was cut off
“Shut it boy! You don’t have the right to speak!” He yelled. I winced at his voice and backed away slowly a couple steps.
“I didn’t do anything!” I defended
“I said be quite boy!” My father screamed as he smacked me in the same place the bruise sat from last night. I tried to hide my tears as I looked away at the ground my face red from the hit.
“Look at me when I talk to you!” My father said grabbing my jaw and jerking my head to look at his.
“Hey!” I heard someone call from behind my dad.
