“You're useless! You ruin everything! You drive everything I love away from me you fucking piece of shit!” My father yelled as he grabbed my hair pulling me from the ground and throwing me back down. I curled into a ball as he kicked and kicked until he panted from exhaustion. I shook trembling on the ground from pain that spread like fire around my body. My vision went fuzzy as I looked up at my father has he took a final kick to my head like it was a soccer ball and everything went black as a stream of blood left my mouth.

I sat in the waiting room of the hospital as my mother signed me out. Looking around the busy and loud waiting room I realized no one cares. Even if they knew they probably still wouldn't care. Does my mother even care? I looked up at my mother as she smiled to the nurse she bumped into on her way back to me.

“Come on sweetie.” My mother smiled down at me as she stood in front of me. I stood and followed my mother out of the hospital on to a just as busy road.

“Mom do you think we should call the police so we can find Kas faster?” I asked looking over to my mother.

“Sure baby, let's just get you home so you can take a shower and tell your father what happened okay.” My mother said not taking her eyes off the road.

“Mom why can't we call them now?” I said

“Sweetie calling the police can wait until we get home. Your dad's has the day off today so he can help us.” My mother said softly.

“Mom do you not want to find him as soon as possible!...” I yelled “I just want him back Mom.” I said quietly

“I do want  to find him just as much as you do but we need to get home first okay, I'm sorry that this happened but we’re going to find him.” My mother said walking around the building, finding the car and getting in the car. I did the same following my mother.  I closed my eyes as I sat down sighing trying to relax but all I could think about was if Kas was alright. I opened my eyes to a door shutting as I saw my mother leaving the car. I slowly followed getting out of the car. I had caught up to my mother as she unlocked the door. We slowly walked in my head low as my mother sat her purse on the small table next to our door. I made my way over to the stairs and quickly climbed them making my way to my room. When I threw my body on my bed, which I missed very much, I heard my mother's voice call to me. I sighed deeply and left my room , went down the stairs, and found my mother sitting at the dinner table next to my father.
"Hey Ian! Your old man don't see you that much with work but your mother says you have news for me?"
"Yeah... I do." I said looking at the floor.
"So spit it out." My father said losing his patience.
"When I was in the hospital a nurse came and said Kas's mother heard what happened and wanted to speak with him so of course Kas left to find his mother. I looked out the window and shortly later I saw Kas walk out and he was jumped... and taken." I told the story trying to hold back tears that threatened to break free. My father's eyes widened with every second as you could see the realization spread across his face.
