I laughed awkwardly while she just stared at me, dumbfounded.

She was not very convinced, but luckily agreed and left, telling me to go to sleep right away and that she'll come to me in the morning. Woosh!

My phone rang saving me from yet another crazy conversation with myself.
I checked the notification and...
Correction: saving me...with myself, just to land me in another big trouble.
