"thanks again for letting us stay," sadie said with a grateful smile to the blond girl standing in front of the group.

"of course," she smiled, and an uneasy feeling ran through millie's stomach. though sadie knew her, and she was an old trusted friend, everyone in this town gave millie bad vibes.

finn squeezed her waist supportively, and she smiled at him, but it disappeared as he walked down the hallway after sadie's friend.

millie felt torn. she wanted to leave, now. she had a bad feeling that they needed to leave soon. something bad was going to happen. but at the same time... the storm was still really bad. there was no reason that should make them leave the town, or else have a chance of being injured.

gaten glanced over at millie, and opened his arms, and she gratefully fell into them, hugging him tightly.

"it's gonna be okay, mills," he promised. millie smiled.

"thanks gaten. we need to catch up. i miss talking to you."

he gave her a nod, and opened the front door, heading outside for a breath of air.

he shivered, the air blowing against his skin, forming goosebumps. he took a deep breath, glancing up. his breath caught in his throat as he spotted a girl in a window across the street.

she was beautiful. he had never seen a girl like her. their eyes connected for a second, then the girl frowned and yanked the curtains closed, and rain poured harder on top of gaten.

he blinked, the girl stuck in his mind. he had never seen anyone that intriguing... ever.

he stared at her window longer, his heart aching. he needed to talk to her.

millie sat down, closing her eyes, her head throbbing.

finn rubbed her back gently, as she held back tears. "i'm sorry finn. i'm just really stressed."

tears fell onto the floor. "i- miss my family. i missed a few months with amnesia, and i missed you more then anything. god, the public doesn't even know we're back together."

finn pulled her into his chest, and her tears soaked his shirt, as she sobbed and he ran his fingers through her soft hair thoughtfully.

"you'll be okay, mills. we'll make it through this. you're the strongest girl i know."
