millie burst out coughing again as finn carried her into the hospital, and blood splattered onto his shirt as she wheezed, her heartbeat showing as doctors helped her into a bed, finn arguing with one, telling them he had to come with.

"sadie..." millie croaked, and she slid over immediately, her face sinking as she saw how weak her best friend looked.

"yes, mills?" she asked quietly, stroking her forehead.

"i'm so sorry. i don't know what i can do," millie burst out coughing again.

"it's okay, millie. i'm sorry." sadie said, tears leaking out of her eyes.

"please... you and caleb should go public. it's my dying wish..." millie laughed croakily, and sadie's face turned white. "don't joke about that millie!" she scolded as millie started to get wheeled away.

"i love you!" sadie screamed after her, and the last she saw of her best friend was the middle finger from behind a doctor, and sadie laughed through her tears.

caleb came up behind her, squeezing her shoulder. "she'll be okay. and... sadie, i'm sorry. i shouldn't have pressured you, and this is a bad time, and i'm a horrible person..."

sadie shut him up by pressing her lips against his quietly. when she pulled back, tears were still running down her face as she glanced back towards where millie had gone, but she sighed a little. "it's okay. i thought about it... and we can go public. it's for the best."

"really?"caleb smiled broadly.

sadie nodded, and her face sunk. "but now we have to help finn."

he was sitting in a chair, tears clicking on the ground, pulling at his hair and mumbling thing to himself. "so stupid... shouldn't left earlier... never shouldn't come... horrible boyfriend..."

sadie sat down next to him, giving him a hug. "finn, this isn't your fault at all. if anyone's, it's me for saying we should stay here."

finn just shook his head, tears still falling down his face. "i just... i don't know what i'll do if i lose her. she's all i have... she's my motivation. i ruined this the first time, and i can't lose her again."

"you won't." sadie shook her head, tears in her eyes too.

ginny clutched onto gaten's arm, eyes wide at all the people staring and pointing. "you didn't say you were famous..." she muttered with a small laugh.

gaten sighed. "i don't like to think of it like that. c'mon, let's sit while we wait for millie."

they took a seat at a table, and ginny sighed a little. "gaten, i've been avoiding this like crazy... but i have something to tell you. something big."

gaten frowned. "what do you mean?"

she was shaking as she clutched onto his hands tightly. "gaten..."

-

"can you come with me?" the doctor stood in front of them, a frown on his face.

"this should just be you finn..." sadie mumbled, tears in her eyes.

"what about noah?" finn asked wearily.

"he'll be okay. he's asleep, and he said goodbye. i know millie talked to him."

finn nodded, swallowing back tears, as he followed the doctor down the hallway, and into millie's room. her heartbeat was slow, and she looked ruined, as her eyes slowly moved up, and she tried to move, the word "finn..." coming out of her mouth as he hurried over and held her down, pressing his lips against hers.

"millie... i love you so much. more then you know. i've made so many mistakes, and loving you has helped me through these years. i'm so sorry for everything i've done, and i want you to know that i love you. you're not going to die. listen to me, millie. you're not going to die."

she sobbed in his arms. "i am, finn. it's okay. you'll make it without me... you will! i promise."

"i can't, millie," he cried, holding her frail body in his arms. "please don't leave me. please..."

"i love you so much finn," she coughed. "never forget that..." her body was growing weaker every second. "you have made my life," cough. "so much better." cough. "every second we were together has been cherished. i love you forever... never forget that, okay?" tears dropped out of his eyes as her hand slipped out of his. "goodbye, my love..."

"NO!" finn screamed as her heartbeat stopped, and her eyes fluttered closed, and he was pulled away, away from the girl he loved so much, as doctors checked her pulse, and her heart was no longer beating. he grabbed onto her, shaking her, and a man grabbed him, pulling him away, as doctors surrounded her.

"no, millie, please, MILLIE!" he screamed, struggling against the man holding him back from her.

"millie..."
