You had gone to Anteiku many of times, getting coffee but mostly just to see a cute boy that worked there.
Your best friend would go with you every time and push you towards him to actually get you to talk to him. You had been to Anteiku 10 times in the last two weeks and still had not talked to the boy and your friend was getting tired of listening to you sigh every time he walked by.
"His name is Kaneki.... You better jump on that before that purple haired chick does."
*Sigh* "But.... He's just so cute and he reads the same books as me and that eye patch makes him seem even more mysterious. *Sigh* I just can't do it. That purple haired chick is cuter than me anyway."
You then looked to the counter and noticed the boy looking in your direction.
" He didn't hear me, right?" You whispered to your friend as she started to giggle.
"What -" you were cut off when Kaneki had walked up to your table and asked if you needed another coffee. You blushed the deepest shade of red and said " coffee...thank you... I mean... Yes...."
"Hi, you're Kaneki right? Well this cute mess over here is (y/n) and she thinks you're cute." Your best friend had just made the situation more embarrassing.
You noticed a light blush on Kaneki's cheeks. Suddenly a blonde male walked in and wrapped his arms around Kaneki's shoulders.
"You finally ask this cute girl out here you've been talking about for two weeks? Huh, Buddy?" And he winked at you.
"Well I hadn't asked yet but umm.... Would you like to go to a book signing with me tomorrow?" Kaneki asked.
You couldn't help but giggle at how flustered Kaneki looked at the moment and so you just nodded.
As the two boys left your best friend turned to you and said "man, he's got a cute friend. Think you could set us up since you're dating Kaneki?!"
*Sigh* "I'm sure a double date would be fun." You then winked at her and scribbled your number down on a napkin to leave for Kaneki.
As you were leaving you could feel eyes on you. You turned and noticed it was the purple haired chick giving you a dirty look.
