Chapter 10

Sweat drips down my face and my chest burns as I run from wall to wall, tapping each one as I go. I was tiring but I couldn't stop. I had to keep going. I was starting to feel sick and my legs couldn't carry me anymore. I then fall to the ground exhausted and I gasp for air.
"Very good (Y/N), you've gotten faster compared to when we last tested you" Janson said
"I ran a maze for two years, what do you expect?" I question as I sit up.
"You're free to go" Janson says and leaves the room and I just stay on the floor.

I walk down a hallway and see Newt punching the hell out of a punching bag which flies off of its hook and onto the floor. He then doubles over looking puffed. His muscles and veins were bulging from hard work and he was a sweating waterfall. He then grabs a towel and comes toward the door.
"Strong much" I say
"You saw that?"
"Yeah, I didn't know you could do that"
"Yeah neither could I, I guess I'm getting stronger as this thing takes control" Newt says and we start walking.
We then see Thomas get punched out of one of the doors and we jump as he lands in front of us.
"Oh hey guys, don't mind me"
"What the heck happened to you?" I ask laughing
"Ask Gally" Thomas says and we look at Gally who's standing against the door
"Combat training" Gally shrugged
"Ok now I'm scared of going up against you and you" I joke pointing to both Newt and Gally.
"Why the hell would you be scared of Newt?" Thomas asks as Gally pulls him to his feet
"Have you seen him punch a punching bag? It flies off its hook" I say
"I'll believe it when I see it" Gally said
I cock my eyebrow at Newt and he starts heading back to the training room and there's already a punching bag set up.
"Might wanna stay back" I warn as we watch Newt go at it with the punching bag and after about three minutes, he punches the bag across the room.
"Holy shit" Thomas says
"Exactly my thoughts" I say
"Tomorrow you're going up against Gally are up against each other"
"That'll be interesting" Gally says
"Yeah, it will be. If I'm not the only one, I'm gonna have a shower" Newt says and wonders off to the showers.
"Come on, let's find the others"

Newt's POV:
I hop out of the shower and dry my hair as I do.
"Newt, a word" Janson says and I walk over to him
"What do you want Janson?" I ask as we enter a room.
"I wanna know how you're holding up with, knowing you have the flare"
"Right, why would you care?"
"You're not stable are you? You decide to do something you think you wouldn't be able to do in the future because you could be dead"
"What do you..."
"I know what you and (Y/N) did Newt, there were cameras" Janson says and puts on a video of myself and (Y/N) yesterday. I started to tense up and anger started to boil inside of me.
"Destroy it" I order
"I'm the one who gives orders, not you. I bet Thomas wouldn't be pleased with you having sex with his sister. I bet the others would be disappointed. You did it because you were scared"
"Shut up"
"You used her"
"Shut up"
"Face it Newt, you don't really love her. You just want to play around with her and once this gets out, you'll be ruined"
"I said shut up!" I yell and attack Janson. I couldn't stop myself. I punch Janson in the head and he punches me in the nose which starts to bleed. I then kick him in the ribs and he brings his fist down on my left ankle which I yell at but I keep fighting. I then grab the tape and run from the room, dodging the odd grenade bullet. I then run round the corner and slide to the floor and cry. I look at the tape in my hand and I crush it and throw it. I then get up and start walking to find the others. My ankle burns with every step I take. He'd hit it hard where it hurt the most. I had tears of pain and anger staining my face.
I keep limping my way around the place until I get back to the dorm and I hear the others inside. I take a deep breath and open the door. I try to make my way slowly in but I get caught.
"Newt? Why are you sneaking in?" Aris asks
"No reason" I lie
"You ok mate?" Frypan asks me and I then explode once again and I yell and kick and punch and a metal cabinet. I then feel someone grab me.
"Newt, calm down man. You need to stop" it was Minho
I stop like he says to do and I take deep aggressive breaths. I then look up at him.
"Shit, Newt what happened to you?" He asks
"Janson happened, he started it. He's a dick head. You hear that Janson, you're a dick. Make that ten times a dick!" I yell at a camera that I spot and throw something at it and it breaks the camera.
"Hey, babe calm down. Working yourself up isn't going to fix anything. Just tell us what happened" (Y/N) says grabbing my arm and sitting me down next to her.
"I was gonna look for you guys but Janson called me in and started saying all these things that angered me so much. I exploded and I attacked him. I then got out of there and that's it" I explain. No way was I going into detail.
"What things did he say?" Teresa asked
"I, I can't say. I just want to forget about them"
"Ok well let's get you cleaned up, come on" (Y/N) says and leads me to the bathroom.
"What really happened?" She asked sitting me down on a ledge as she wets a cloth in the sink.
"They have footage of what we did" I say and she stops and looks at me.
"He kept saying that I did it with you because I was scared, scared that we'd never get to do it. That I used you and how, everyone would be disappointed and that I don't really love you"
"Don't listen to him Newt, he just wants to anger you" she says coming over and wiping the blood from my nose and from my head which had a huge scratch on it.
"But what if he's right?"
"What do you mean?"
"What if I was scared? What if I..."
"You didn't force me, so that doesn't make you scared. We both wanted it and we did it"
"I guess"
She then kisses me
"Don't let him get you down, that makes him a winner and we don't want that"
"I'll try" I say and we stand up and were about to go back into the room but I stop her. "Don't tell anyone, please"
She nods and we enter the room. I just wanted to forget everything about today.
