Sometimes Knowing Hurts

The Battle

(ANNA POV)

"Alice," Edward says.

"Alice! My dear, dear Alice, we're so glad to see you here, after all," Aro says as Alice and Jasper walk over to him. A few guards stop them.

"I have evidence the child won't be a risk to our kind. Let me show you," Alice says and she is let through to Aro. Aro grabs onto Alice's hand.

"It doesn't matter what I show you. Even when you see," Alice says as she jerks her hand away from Aro. "You still won't change your decision." Alice then turns to face us. "Now!" Bella looks up to Renesmee and nods.

"Take care of my daughter," Bella tells Seth before he turns and starts running away. I nod my head to Bella before Jake and I go join the pack, not wanting to leave our brothers and sister just yet.

"Get them," Caius orders and two vampires take off after Seth and Renesmee. I motion my head to Jake telling him to follow after them and he does with some reluctance. Alice then kicks Aro in the face which sends him flying back. Alice tries to run but is grabbed by two guards.

"Take her away," Aro orders and Alice is dragged back.

"Let her go!" Carlisle yells before running forward. Two guards run out to meet him but he quickly takes them down. He then jumps into the air so he can attack the guards that are holding Alice but Aro jumps up and meets him. Carlisle's body hits the ground and Aro lands holding onto Carlisle's head. Esme screams out and everyone is in shock. Caius then sets Carlisle's body on fire. Edward is the first to run forward followed by everyone except for the pack. Sam and I make them stay back, waiting for the right moment. Aro orders his people forward. Sam and I then let the packs charge forward with us leading them. I look back to see Seth going into the woods with Renesmee and Jake starting to catch up to them. I quickly help free Jasper from the guards holding him. Jane then tries to go after him with her power but Bella uses her shield. Alec then tackles Bella to the ground. I try to use my shield but it doesn't work in my wolf form. Jasper falls to the ground in pain. I start running towards Jane but it is too late because a guard breaks Jasper's head off. I keep trying to make my way to Jane. Emmett comes to Bella's aid and rips off Alec's head. Alice is able to get free from the two guards holding her. The vampires after Renesmee and Seth is starting to gain on them with Jake not far behind them. I see Embry jump through the air before killing a guard, having landed right in front of Jane. I continue trying to fight my way to her. Jane uses her power on Embry which makes him whither around in pain. A guard quickly comes up and breaks Embry's neck. I whimper as Embry takes his last breath. I then let out a mournful howl. Jake starts whimpering at the lost of his friend. I look to see Bella being held by three of the guards and start making my way to her. Benjamin then punches the ground which causes the ground to split open to reveal lava at the bottom. Two of the vampires fighting Bella fall in before she kicks the other one in. I then avert my focus back to finding Jane. Esme and the vampire she is fighting are going to fall in but then she is able to grab the ledge. The vampire has a hold on her which causes her to start slipping. Leah who has two vampires on her back starts making her way to the hole. Leah jumps and is able to grab the vampire holding on to Esme before falling into the hole. I let out another mournful howl and Sam grows very angry. Seth zones out as he starts whimpering at the loss of his sister. Jake also zones out and whimpers. Renesmee notices the vampires chasing them are on either side of them.

"Seth!" Renesmee calls out. "Seth! Seth!" She gives up on trying to call Seth. "Jacob!" The two vampires jump at her and Seth but Seth and Jake both snap out of it. Seth attacks one and rips his head off while keeping Renesmee on his back. Jake leaps forward and takes the other one out before he starts running beside Seth. Edward falls into the hole but is able to grab onto the side. The vampire he was fighting smirks down into the hole as more rocks fall. He starts walking away from the hole but Edward jumps out of the hole and is able to kill him. Alice and I finally find Jane again. Alice runs after Jane as I make my way over to them. Jane tries to use her power on Alice but Bella uses her shield. Jane starts running away from Alice only to be knocked down by Sam. Alice grabs Jane by her neck and starts dragging her towards me as I menacingly walk over to them while snarling. Alice then throws Jane in front of me and I attack Jane. I am able to rip Jane's head off before looking up and snarling at Aro. Caius and Marcus then make their way towards the fight.

"Anna! Go! Protect Renesmee!" Bella yells out to me. I give her a nod of my head before taking off towards the woods. Caius attacks Tanya but Garrett helps her. Caius is thrown to Kate who shocks him around the neck. Tanya comes over and grabs him by the mouth before ripping his head off. Stefan and Vladimir then take out Marcus, who doesn't even put up a fight. Aro then joins the battle. Edward starts making his way towards Aro but Bella being closer also makes her way towards Aro. Aro throws Bella back once she reaches him which causes her to knock into Edward. Edward picks Bella up before spinning her around letting her kick Aro. Edward then throws Bella forward which allows her to once again kick Aro and knock him down. Edward grabs Aro in a headlock but Aro is able to get out of it and starts pushing on Edward's face and it starts to crack. Bella climbs onto Aro's shoulders and starts pulling his head back which causes him to let go of Aro. Edward knocks Aro to the ground which helps Bella get a better hold on Aro. Edward then kicks Aro's back which allows Bella to rip his head off. Bella then sets fire to Aro's head. I'm just about to reach Jake, Seth, and Renesmee when a vampire wraps his arms around my neck and starts to squeeze.....
