Something Old And Blue

(ANNA POV)

I phase back and check the time. I had to get to Charlie's so Bella and I could head to the Cullen's. I get back to my room right as Bella walks into my room.

"Let's go," she says. We are now sitting in front of a large mirror as Alice flashes around us and does our makeup.

"What did l say about beauty sleep?" Alice asks Bella.

"Sorry, bad dream. It was wedding jitters," Bella answers.

"Do you need some help? I could do her hair," Rosalie says as she walks in.

"Really?" Bella asks.

"Please. I'm not offended by your choice of groom," Rosalie explains.

"Just my blatant lack of respect for mortality," Bella says.

"Essentially," Rosalie says.

"Weddings. They bring everyone together," Alice says as she wraps an arm around me and Rosalie. Rosalie finishes Bella's hair before she curls mine. "Alice? Bella? Anna?" I hear Renee call out.

"In here, Mom," Bella calls. Alice moves out of the way to reveal Bella.

"Oh, my gosh! You're so gorgeous. Oh, honey. Crap! My mascara," Mom says as she wipes her eyes. Alice then hands her a tissue.

"Mom!" Bella says.

"Thanks," Mom says to Alice.

"Aw, Anna you look beautiful," Mom says as she hugs me. I was now wearing a purple dress. "Charlie, get in here."

"You sure? I don't wanna..." Dad says as he walks in. Bella and I look at him shocked. "I know. I look hot." We all laugh.

"We thought you needed something blue," Mom says as Charlie opens a box to reveal a hair barrette.

"And something old. Besides your mother," Charlie adds.

"Nice," Renee says.

"It was Grandma Swan's," Charlie explains.

"But we added the sapphires," Renee adds.

"It's beautiful, you guys. Wow. Thank you so much," Bella says as she hands it to Alice, who puts it in her hair.

"It's your first family heirloom. Pass on to your daughter, and her daughter," Renee explains.

"Mom, I love it," Bella says as she goes to hug Renee.

"Nope. No smudging my masterpiece," Alice says stopping them.

"She's right," Renee says.

"Okay. Time for the dress! Do you wanna see it?" Alice asks Renee and Charlie leave the room.

"I want to see it!" Renee says. Alice and Renee help Bella into the dress and we all gasp at the final product.

"You look lovely, Bella," I tell her. We all go take our seats as we wait for the wedding march. It was an amazing ceremony and you could tell how in love they are. After the wedding, I go hang with Billy, Sue, and Seth.

"Hey, man. Nice to see you. I'm happy for you," Seth says to Edward as they walk over.

"Thank you," Edward says.

"I hope you'll be happy, Bella," Billy says.

"Thank you, Billy. Have you heard from him?" Bella asks and Billy glances at me.

"I'm sure Jake wishes you the best," Billy answers.

"Well, I plan on getting drunk. They're serving up some pretty fancy champagne," Charlie says as he walks up. "Sue, can l get you a glass?"

"Sparkling firewater. Sounds great," Billy says before Sue can answer.
"Excuse me. Is this on? Hello?" Emmett asks as he taps a mic. We all go sit down. Someone whistles. "Umm, I'd like to propose a toast. To my new sister. Bella, I hope you've gotten enough sleep these last 18 years. 'Cause you won't be getting any more for a while." Emmett chuckles but no one else does. Jessica then goes up to the stage.

"Well, Bella was just like everybody else, totally mesmerized by Edward. Or "The Hair," as I call him. And then, suddenly, Edward is all about Bella. Even though she's not the captain of the volleyball team. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Or the president of the student council," Jessica says before Charlie takes the stage.

"Edward will be a good husband. I know this because I'm a cop. I know things. Like how to hunt somebody to the ends of the Earth. And I know how to use a gun," Charlie says and everyone chuckles.
"Now that you're my sister, you'll have to get over your aversion to fashion. Skirts, heels, handbags," Alice says.

"Bella, you are my sister and you just added on to the family. I know he will treat you because like Dad, I will hunt him down if he doesn't," I say with a wink to Bella and everyone laughs.

"Go to sleep, my love. Go to sleep. When you wake. You'll see me," Renee goes up and sings.

"I'd like to thank Rene and Charlie for bringing such a wonderful person into the world and into our lives. We will cherish and protect her forever," Esme says.

"It's an extraordinary thing to meet someone who you can bare your soul to. And who will accept you for what you are. I've been waiting, what seems like a very long time, to get beyond what I am. And with Bella, I feel like I can finally begin. So I'd like to propose a toast to my beautiful bride. No measure of time with you will be long enough. But let's start with forever," Edward toasts. Everyone then starts dancing.
