(ANNA POV)It's been about a month since the Edward coming back fiasco. I didn't have patrol after school today so I was spending my time with Charlie. Bella is out with Edward but has a four o'clock curfew because of the whole leaving without telling Charlie. Charlie and I hear the door open and Bella walks in. We look at the clock to see that it is four.
"Four o'clock on the dot. That kid trying to brown nose me now or something?" Charlie questions as Bella comes into the living room.
"He has a name. And now he's too punctual for you?" Bella asks.
"Okay... You understand why you're being punished, right?" Charlie asks.
"I know, I put you through hell," Bella answers.
"Yes, you did. But I have other reasons, for grounding you," Charlie explains.
"Like?" Bella asks.
"I just want you to get some separation from him," Charlie answers.
"Dad, there is nothing you can say. Edward is in my life," Bella explains and I roll my eyes.
"Yeah, I'm gathering that. So, alright. How about this? I'll make you a deal. You're not grounded anymore, if..." Charlie bargains and Bella's face lights up. "You use your new found freedom to see some of your other friends too."
"Like?" Bella asks.
"Like Jacob. He's going through a really tough time right now, His Dad's really worried about him. I remember when that was you. You needed a friend, Jake was there. You can even spend some time with your sister," Charlie explains. Later that night Bella and I were hanging out in her room. Bella tried to call Jake but it just went to voicemail.
"Jacob hasn't talked to me in weeks. I want to fix it, he just... He won't give me the chance," Bella explains to me.
"Maybe because that's something you don't fix over the phone," I tell her.
"I'm going to the reservation. Could you come with me?" Bella asks grabbing her jacket. I nod. I get in the driver's seat and Bella gets in the middle. I try cranking the truck but it won't turn over. I smell Edward and read his mind. He messed up the truck. Edward then hops into the truck.
"You scared me," Bella says.
"You're going now to the reservation," Edward states.
"How'd you? Alice... Hey, did you do this to my truck?" Bella asks.
"Bella, you have to understand. Your safety is everything to me," Edward explains.
"Jacob is not gonna hurt me," Bella states.
"Not intentionally, but the wolves have no control..." Edward says and I roll my eyes.
"As if I would let anything happen to my sister. Yeah, I'm here too," I say sharply to Edward.
"Edward. I have until graduation, to see him. And I'll be one of you, and he'll hate me forever," Bella says causing me to get a little mad so I get out of the truck to work on it.
"I'm sorry," Edward says as Bella gets out of the truck and storms in the house.
A couple of days later Bella and Edward go visit mom in Florida because Edward wanted Bella out of town while the others chased Victoria. The pack and I were patrolling the border because we had caught Victoria's scent but there was nothing we could do because of the treaty. Victoria then hops to our side and we chase after her. Paul and I almost had her before she jumped back to the other side. We continue the chase on our side while the Cullen's chase on their side. Victoria then jumps back over but Emmett jumps too. Paul goes after Emmett but I hit Paul which makes him just push Emmett back into the river. The rest of the pack led by Jacob chases Victoria away, except Sam who stays with Paul and I. The next morning, I go to school on my bike. Once I get there I find Jake waiting outside and go over because I know he's waiting on Bella and Edward. "Hey," Bella says as she comes up to us.
