Choice [EXO AU][Vampire]

Chapter 1

~Yin's POV~

"Yes mum, yes. I'm fine- have some faith in your daughter~! Alright, talk soon. Love you. Bye." After about an hour on the phone talking to my parents they finally hung up. My mum can think of an unlimited amount of conversation starters. I love them but they need to trust me more.

I've been living in my new apartment, not too far from where I work, for about 3 weeks now. My mum phones just about every day asking if I need anything doing or if I want to come home. I like being on my own if I'm honest- it means it's peaceful and quiet. I graduated from college about 2 months ago and found myself a job at a small cafe. I like to think my life is perfect right now, it's exactly how I planned things out and even nicer than I could've imagined. 

After chatting with my mum, I set my alarm for 5:30am tomorrow so I could get to work by 6. I went around my apartment drawing the curtains and making sure the door was locked. When I had finished, I shuffled to bed. I really couldn't be bothered closing my bedroom window and the breeze would help me sleep better anyway. I flopped onto my bed and snuggled under a blanket. I was quick to fall asleep.

~???'s POV~

I could see her apartment from where I was perched in a tree. The breeze was cold and it honestly felt nice against my skin. I could see the girl coming towards the window to draw the curtains and her deep, brown eyes skimmed across the cityscape. She did look beautiful. A quiet shout knocked me out of my trance. 

"Kai! Kai... Kaiiiiiii!" Someone half whispered half shouted at me.

"What?! Baekhyun?" I jumped down from my perch and waved a hand in front of him. He was looking towards her apartment.

"Wow..." Was all Baekhyun said to respond to me.

I sighed and grabbed his arm to start pulling him with me. We walked until we got into town and saw the others. Baekhyun looked like he was still day-dreaming. 

"What happened to him?" Lay asked me.

"I couldn't explain even if I wanted to, he's been like this for a few minutes," I said bluntly.

Just as Lay was about to reply, Baekhyun started to jump up and down and run over to Chen. 

"Omo! She's so beautiful hyung! I can see why Kai keeps talking about her~!" He giggled excitedly.

Chen just laughed as I hit Baekhyun around the back of his head. Baekhyun stopped giggling but he was still smiling like an idiot. Kyungsoo broke the temporary silence.

"Aren't we going back home? It's cold. And I want to sleep." He said grumpily.

"Yeah, come on then," Lay said and we walked over to our cars. Lay drove the first with me, Kyungsoo, Suho and Chen in. Sehun drove the other, which contained Baekhyun, Xiumin and Chanyeol. The way home was a quiet journey and I treasured the moment of silence because I knew when we got home Baek, Chen and Chanyeol will be quick to mess around. 

~Yin's POV~

In my dream, there were 9 shadow-like figures. All I knew was to run from them. They would follow and chase me no matter where I went. They kept calling out my name and when I woke up panting with tears on my cheeks all I could remember was their eyes. Red. Dangerous.
