~Yin's POV~

I have been hanging out with the boys for about 2 weeks now. I loved having friends like this- they actually seemed to care. Anyway, we had gone out, had picnics, played games, watched films and things like that whenever we all had free time. I had already met pretty much everyone- the cute Sehun, the kind Lay, the fair Suho, the sweet Xiumin and of course the cheerful Chen. I was supposed to meet Kai and Baekhyun today because Suho said that Kai had finally built up the courage to speak to me- am I that scary?- Baekhyun was supporting him. Today I was going to head over after work with Chen and all watch a film- the only downside was that it was Kyungsoo's turn to choose what we watched. Kyungsoo, although he seems cold he is actually kind of nice but I could tell he wasn't someone who enjoyed Rom-Coms very much.

I was in the back of the coffee shop, neatening my hair and sorting out my apron, when Chen popped through the door.

"Morning~" He spoke whilst beaming. "Are you coming over tonight for the film with the guys?"

"Of course," I spoke and gave him a soft smile. "Anyway, off to work~!" I said and skipped to the counter of the shop.

~Kai's POV~

Suho had been complaining at how dangerous it was to have Yin here for about a week before he finally gave up. I was actually happy about tonight, I could finally actually talk to Yin. For the past weeks, I had been thinking about what I was going to say, but I fear that I may have left it a bit late. I can practically see their affection towards her radiating from them- I just hope they know we are here to protect her. Me, Lay and Chanyeol were doing a quick tidy of the living room while Suho and Baekhyun took care of the kitchen and Sehun and Xiumin tidied the hallway and various other bits and bobs. Chen was at work with Yin and who knows where Kyungsoo had scurried off to- probably planning what we're going to watch tonight.

I was sorting out the books on the shelves when I heard someone speak in the kitchen.

"Why do we even have a kitchen? It's so much hassle to clean!" I could tell it was Baekhyun.

"Because we need one to cook." I presumed that was Suho.

"But we barely ever eat food, human food! And whenever we do it doesn't even taste of anything..." Everyone in the living room had stopped what they were doing and were eavesdropping on the argument.

"Well, if we don't eat anything tonight what will Yin think? Exactly. Besides, it won't kill you will it?" We could tell that Suho had won when Baekhyun couldn't think of a comeback. We heard grumpy footsteps trodding down the hall and we all turned back to what we were doing before anyone entered. As if on cue, Baekhyun stormed into the room in a huff. No one bothered to ask what happened because we already knew but we'd have to get him to be more cheery for when Yin got here. Baek didn't have the best... Control out of us, especially not when he was grumpy. After a few awkwardly silent minutes my phone buzzed in my pocket. I checked my messages.

Chen 🎁
We're on our way back now. See you in a few

Me 🏆
Got it. See you then.

"Who are you messaging?" I could feel Chanyeol standing next to me. "And why did you save Chen's name with a present next to it?" His eyebrow raised slightly.

"Okay, first things first, Chen will be back soon with Yin." I said it loud enough for everyone to hear. "Secondly, Chen made me save his contact like that- he said that it's because he's full of surprises or something like that," I shook my head slightly.

As soon as I finished everyone started to get ready for the oncoming visitor. I went to the bottom of the stairs to call the others down from wherever they were; I ended up just calling out their names and telling them that Yin and Chen were nearly home.

"Sehun, Xiumin? Yin and Chen are practically here. Get your butts down here and be ready!" I smiled when I had finished, they wouldn't delay and risk getting us angry just to finish whatever they were doing.

Lay brought in a bowl of popcorn and Suho made sure to tell everyone that we'd have to eat some otherwise it'd look weird. Baekhyun made another comment on how it doesn't taste of anything and most of us snickered under our breath.

Kyungsoo entered the room silently, whilst smirking. None of us said a word.

The moment of silence that followed was broken by a growl-like noise. It made everyone jump apart from Xiumin who had just entered with Sehun. Xiumin gave a sheepish smile before speaking.

"I think I'm hungry..." He chuckled.

"Well no." Baekhyun snarked sarcastically.

The system for our food was a bit strange- even to us. There were houses in each town that our kind owned; they had human and vampire residencies but there was a catch. These humans never actually left the buildings. The vampires that lived with them made them believe that they had to be there for a reason they couldn't know and they made them forget how long they had been there. If any of our kind needed to feed, we would go to these houses- we knew where they were. The humans never knew about our kind due to them being made to forget us and what happened after anyone fed, it was against our own laws to kill without a proper reason so the humans are safe. It was easier and safer to do this. We had to accept the way the system worked if we wanted to survive and so it became normal after a while. Oh, these were often referred to as 'Blood Houses'.

"Xiumin, you go to get a bite and take this grump," Suho pointed at Baekhyun, "with you."

Xiumin nodded and took Baekhyun by the arm before hauling him out of the room.

~Yins' POV~

Chen and I were serving the last few customers from our shift. I was composing a caramel frappucino for a young girl around the age of 15. She had long, brown hair and striking blue eyes- which were framed with some thin eyeliner. I carefully handed the cup to her before she smiled and said a small "Thank you." before leaving.

I looked over at Chen, who was putting two mugs and a plate with a slice of cake on a tray. There weren't many tables inside or outside the shop but some customers still resided there. I walked over to him.

"Do you want me to take it?" I asked.

"That'd be great! I'm juggling about 3 different orders here.." He chuckled.

I took the tray from him and he said it was for table 7- outside. I progressed through the shop and around some tables until I reached the door. I balanced the tray and opened the door with my spare hand. I went over to table 7, smiled and set down the items on the table. The couple who were sat there thanked me as I turned to go back inside.

As I did, someone caught my eye. A few buildings away, at a street corner, was a guy. He was wearing black jeans and a jacket covering his upper half. The one very noticeable thing about him was his bright, orange hair. Was he... Starring at me? I shrugged it off and went back inside because my shift was almost over.
