Choice [EXO AU][Vampire]

Chapter 15

~Kris's POV~

She was sweet. Nothing more to it. I lifted a hand up to my mouth to wipe away any surplus of my previous doings. She was unconscious. The shock was probably too much for her to cope with. We were told to keep her alive so we patched up her wounds with soft, white bandages we found in a drawer in the bedroom. I could smell the scent of the others on her skin and it made me uncomfortable. I didn't like that she carried it with her. Not even a bit. 

"Right then," Luhan said as we finished patching her up.

"Yes, we better set off." Tao chimed in.

"We should," I spoke emotionlessly. 

With that, I picked up the girl and held her in my arms, almost like a bride. Her blonde hair reached towards the ground, her lashes casting a vague shadow across her cheeks. Her pink lips contrasted with her pale skin. Honestly, if we weren't in this situation- I would say she looks rather beautiful. 

We walked over to the window and one by one, we jumped out into the cold, moonlit night.

~Kai's POV~
~(Meanwhile)~

"You'd think after all these years we'd remember where the entrance is..." Sehun spoke, annoyance present in his tone.

"Mhm, same." I replied.

We were in the woods, where the entrance to the Boss' cavern is- think of it as a hideout of sorts, or a secret base. The thing is, the entrance was a door in the floor, it was easily camouflaged amongst the leaves and mud since it rained before. We were tapping our feet on the ground, listening out for a hollow 'knock' that signalled us as to where the door actually was. 

"Found it!" I turned around to see Lay holding the entrance open. We all made our way towards him.

"Ladies first," I said glancing towards Suho.

He blew a sarcastic kiss in my direction before going down the steps, deeper into the underground cavern. 

The steps were dry, and the stone looked dusty and old. Being a vampire has some perks, like being able to see down these stairs, enveloped in darkness.. and covered in creepy-crawlies for that matter... Ughhh...

It would be very easy to get lost in this place, but we have been here so many times that we would know our way around with our eyes closed. All 9 of us walked down a long, narrow hallway that leads to the main hall- our boss was usually there when we were summoned. We all approached large, Oakwood doors and Suho, being the one in front, opened them for us to step through.

"Boys, welcome." Our Boss spoke coldly and sternly- no emotion was present in his voice. He was always like this. No sympathy.

He gestured for us to stand in the centre of the room with his hand. No. If you were wondering, we don't actually know his real name. He likes to be called one of three things, 'Sir', 'Master' or 'Your Majesty'. Weird? Yes, I know. Suho stepped forwards and spoke first.

"Sir, may we ask why you called us here?" He was brave for making eye contact as he spoke. Our Boss was very unpredictable and of course, he had powers of his own to use at his will.

"Suho, I have been informed that all of you have been hanging around with a human girl. Before I continue, I wish to know if that's the truth." He clasped his hands together.

Suho's eyes widened as we all realised he had made a mistake. The Boss' power was to manipulate people into telling the truth, by nothing more than eye contact. It was almost impossible to break it. A bead of sweat slid down the side of Suho's face, we could all tell he was trying to fight against it.
