Choice [EXO AU][Vampire]

Chapter 18

~Xiumin's POV~

We had just left the house and strangely enough, Baek wasn't at all annoying... Something was wrong. I turned my head to look at him, he continued to walk alongside me but he was smiling like an idiot.

"What's up with you?" I waved my hands around as I spoke jokingly.

"It might sound bad... But I'm kinda happy about Yin staying with us now." He paused for breath but I interrupted him.

"You're seriously happy about the fact that she's going to be turned into one of us? A monster? You get that right? Who's even going to do it..?" I hadn't thought about it yet... Hell, there's a lot we have to discuss later.

We got to the car and I entered the driver's side, Baekhyun got in the passenger's seat, which left Channie to sit in the back.

I started the engine and scratched the back of my head, trying to remember where about Jihyo's apartment was. She's been one of us, a vampire, for probably longer than I have plus she knows more about fashion than we do. 

Chanyeol piped up from the back as I was driving.

"Can we maybe incorporate something red into her outfit... I feel like it'd suit her, plus it's my favourite colour," He shrugged, looking down at his hands through soft, black hair.

"I don't know, ask Jihyo when we find her." I stated whilst focusing on the road ahead of me; dawn was just approaching and she tended to act more 'nocturnal' than most of us.

Nobody talked for a while after that, it gave me time to think about a few things as I drove, the problems and issues that we would need to talk about and sort out when we got back. Who was going to turn her? How would we explain everything to her? What would she think of us? ...Would she ever love any of us as much as we love her? None of us had admitted it but we were all thinking the same things.

After taking a few turns and going down a few lanes, we arrived at Jihyo's apartment building. Just as I got out of our parked car, Jihyo ran through the doors of the building right towards us. 

"I knew you were coming~" She laughed.

"Damn I forgot she could do that," Baekhyun muttered, referring to the fact that her ability or 'power' was to see the future- precognition. 

I turned to Jihyo before speaking, "Yeah, we're meant to go clothes shopping for... a friend... but we have absolutely no sense of fashion- when it comes to girl's clothes anyway." I shrugged.

I saw her eyes light up with interest.

"Ooooohhh who's the girl??? Omg, are you dating?? Or...?" She was searching my face for answers.

"It's... Complicated," I said, how could we explain the situation?

"...When you say 'it's complicated' do you mean-" She pouted.

"Jihyo!" I groaned, "No one is dating anyone. It's just a complicated situation."

I could hear Baekhyun and Chanyeol trying to stifle their quiet chuckles, I was going to kill them later. I glared at them both and Chanyeol coughed and spoke up.

"How are you and Jinyoung doing then? I hope I'm invited to the wedding~" He smirked

Jihyo's face went red, "I-It's not like that... He might be older than me but it doesn't mean I'll marry him.." She huffed.

"Isn't that what you said ages ago? Something like, "I'm older than most of our kind that are good looking anyway, I'll marry the first vamp that strolls along~" Yeah something like that." Chanyeol mocked.

"Anyway," Baek coughed. "Clothes?"

"Oh yeah," She laughed. "You can just borrow some of mine, come on in." She started to walk back into her building as we followed. 

~Kai's POV~

I had just taken a shower and finished getting changed into a new outfit, which consisted of black, ripped skinny jeans and a grey short-sleeved top. Whilst running a hand through my wet hair, I started to walk back downstairs to talk with the others. 

I entered the living room where Suho and Lay were helping Yin. She looked pale and weak, Lay was using his power to heal the bite marks on her neck and wrists. Why did the others hurt her like this? It's like they lost themselves completely at last. I couldn't believe that he made us choose out of those two options... How would we tell her what we are..? Nevermind that we have to turn her into one of us! 

I had to keep myself in control until Lay had completely healed her wounds, I wouldn't want to lash out and hurt her further. We all knew that once she wakes up, we'll have to explain everything to her and hope that she doesn't freak out. If she handles it well then we can arrange how it's going to work. We'll also have to make a plan before she wakes up.

I didn't realise I was lost in my thoughts until Suho started talking to me. 

"We should discuss a plan before she wakes up," He stated.

"Yeah, let's wait for the others to get back. Then we can think about it." He nodded when I had finished speaking before leaving the room.

I walked over to Lay and knelt beside Yin.

"She'll be okay, I just hope that it stays that way once we tell her," He spoke looking at her pale face.

"Yeah, it'll be hard for her to accept what's happening in the first place, then she's going to have to choose one of us to do it... I wish we were all the same... She's... We're all so different, our bites are different, our powers are different and we are completely different people! How is she gonna choose who turns her..?" I looked at her, my forehead was creased in thought.

"If... If we each spend a day with her... And we show her who we really are on our day, get to know each other even more... And if she lets us.. Maybe if we bit her... She'd know what each of our bites is like? I could heal her afterwards," Lay looked like he was speaking his thoughts.

"That might be a good idea," Xiumin walked into the room with everyone. 

We all took a seat around the room and we discussed what we were going to do while we waited for Yin to wake up.
