*Brianna's POV*

“I’m not gonna ask again, where the hell were you?” Jon’s face was red, everytime he balled his fists up, I could see him hitting me. “It is 7:30. You've been gone for over 12 hours.” I wasn’t going to tell him the truth.

“I went to a hotel. I just needed some time to think. I’m sorry I didn’t call or text, but I needed to be by myself.” I heard little feet running on the wood floor.

        “Mommy!!” Evelyn ran towards me.

“Hi baby girl. Why don’t we go take a nap?”

She nods, so I walk her to her room. She crawls under the covers, and I lightly kiss her forehead. I put some soothing music on, and walk out.

“Brianna, I’m sorry, but it used to be you putting me before work.” I honestly cant believe him.

“Do you realize how selfish you sound? I love my job, and if they need me to do something, without a doubt, I will do it!”

*Jonathan's POV*

Did she just call me selfish? She’s the one who asked for everything after Evelyn was born.

“Hold on, how am I selfish? Everytime you saw something you just had to have, who bought it? I DID!!!” We just stood there fighting for hours. She was seriously going to send me over the edge.

*Brianna's POV*

We had been fighting for hours, I didn’t know how he hadn’t hit me yet. When I saw him ball his fists up, I knew it was going to happen.

“JON, NO!!!” I fell to the ground, I couldn’t believe my loving husband had just punched me.

“Mommy!!!” Evelyn just witnessed her father hit me.

“Evelyn, go to you room and play. I’ll be there in a minute.” I got up, “Jon, what is wrong with you? Our daughter is probably scared of you now!” I could tell he was upset with himself.

“Brianna, baby, please. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do it.” He tried to touch me, I stepped back.

“Jon, just go. You need to cool off and calm down.” He left and I broke down. This wasn’t my Jonathan. I rushed up to my room and grabbed some suitcases. I packed as much as I could. I went to Evelyn’s room, and did the same. I took everything down to the car, went back up, grabbed Evelyn, and ran down to the car. I strapped her in, and got in. I drove to Brandon’s complex, and called him.

        “Hey beautiful!”

“Hey," I smiled. "Come down to the parking garage. I need some help with my bags.” A few minutes later, he opened my door and hugged me. He was able to grab all of our bags, and I grabbed Evelyn. We walked to his place. This is home for now.
