*Kelsey's POV*

I couldn't believe what had just happened. Someone had just rear ended us. But not just anyone. I read the license plate on the car driving away: 10PSHARP. Abby had just rear ended us and drove away!

"Bri, call 911. I have to call Patrick. That was Abby who just hit us!"

"What?!" She said, just as baffled as I was.

"Evelyn, honey, are you okay?" I asked.

"I'm okay Aunt Kelso. What happened?" She asked.

"We just got hit by another car, sweetie. Don't worry," I said, calling Patrick.

"Hey baby, where are you?" he answered.

"Yeah, um, I'm sitting here about 3 streets over from the Madhouse. Your fucking wife just rear ended Bri, Evelyn, and I, and then drove away," I was still in shock.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Patrick erupted. "Are you guys okay?"

"Yeah baby, we're fine. I had Bri call 911 while I called you because I want her and Evelyn to be evaluated. I just don't even know what to do right now," I said, starting to cry.

"Sit tight, baby. I'll let Joel know the situation and I'll be on my way. I am so sorry. I love you," he said. I could hear him fuming.

"I love you too," I said, hanging up the phone. Just then, the ambulance siren went off and an ambulance pulled up, helping all of us out of the car. They gave Brianna a quick ultrasound in the back, and thank God, the babies were just fine. Evelyn and I were also okay. Patrick pulled up within 5 minutes and wrapped his arms around me.

"I'm so sorry this happened," he said, kissing my forehead. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine," I said, starting to cry. This was all getting to be too much for me to handle.

"What's wrong baby?" He said, wiping tears away.

"I just don't know if I can keep doing this," I said, starting to sob into his chest. "I love you so much, but she is seriously going to hurt me," I sobbed harder. Patrick held me tighter, knowing it was all he could do to comfort me at the moment.

"I know this is hard, baby," He said, rubbing his hands up and down my back. "But we're gonna figure this out. I love you..." I pulled back from him.

"Hard? This is so far past hard," I said, laughing through my tears. "Saying I love you doesn't magically fix everything. This isn't a Nicholas Sparks book, Patrick!" I yelled. He looked as if I just slapped him in the face. I realized the weight of what I just said, and lightened my tone. "We can talk about this later. Just drive us to the game, and I'll tell the police to have the car towed." I walked away from him, telling the cop to have the car towed to a body shop after explaining the situation.

*Patrick's POV*

I stormed through the back doors of the United Center, hell bent on finding Abby. This was it. She was not going to ruin one more aspect of my life. My relationship with Kelsey was on the rocks because of her. For the love of Christ, she purposely hit my girlfriend's car! Just then, I saw her walk around the corner. I stormed up to her.

"You are one miserable bitch," I said. "You have 24 hours to get your stuff out of the house. Divorce papers will be on the table in the morning."

"Baby, what's the matter?" She said flirtatiously, lightly touching my arm. I pulled it away.

"You purposely hit my girlfriend's car, that's what the matter is. You're insane. Like I said, 24 hours, and the papers will be on the table in the morning. We're done. And don't even think about taking the girls."

"Oh, so you admit you're having an affair," She shouted.

"Yeah. Yeah, I am. And you know what?" I threw my hands in the air. "It's the best decision I've ever made!" I walked away from Abby once and for all, and went in the locker room to lace up. It's game time.

*Kelsey's POV*

I walked into the locker room, wiping the tears out of my eyes. Thankfully everyone was already on the ice. I felt horrible about what I said to Patrick, but I knew I was right. If this was going to work, he had to get divorced. I pushed the thought from my head as soon as I saw Kris walking up to me. He looked even worse than he did yesterday, if that was possible.

"Hey, Joel wants to know if you're almost ready," he said. He wasn't in uniform.

"Yeah," I said. "Aren't you playing tonight?"

"No, 2 broken ribs. Out for 3 games," He said, walking a little closer and sitting on the bench. "I heard you were in an accident earlier. Everything okay?"

"Yeah," I said, sitting next to him. "Abby was the one who hit me."

"I'm sorry," he said, setting his hand on my thigh. "Not just for the accident. I know I've been pretty shitty towards you. I was drinking the other night. I had a couple flasks in my locker. I know that's not any excuse, but I just wanted you to know I never would have even thought about laying a finger on you had I been in my right mind. I deserved this."

"Kris," I said, absentmindedly taking his hand. "It's okay. Don't beat yourself up over this. I forgive you," I pulled him in for a gentle hug, not wanting to hurt his ribs. "C'mon, let's go," I said, and we walked out to the ice together.

*After the game*

The guys played a great game, winning 3-1 against the Canucks. My head wasn't in the game, though. It was all I could do to not pull Patrick off the bench and apologize for everything I said. I had to give a press statement with Joel after the game, and thankfully he was kind enough to keep the accident under wraps. I went to my office after the press statement with Joel and changed into something comfortable. There was a knock at my door. I opened it, expecting to see Patrick. It was Joel.

"Joel, please come in," I said, stepping out of the way.

"I just wanted to let you know that I was wrong about what I said about you and Patrick. I have never seen him play so well. It's nice to see him in a non-toxic relationship. And I also wanted to congratulate you on being an incredible coach tonight after that accident. I'm sure you must still be shaken up, so I'll let you go find Patrick. Congrats again," he said, shaking my hand before walking down the hall. I turned around to grab my bag before leaving, when I heard a knock on the open door. I turned to see Patrick standing there, a dozen roses in his hand.

"Can I come in?" He said, still looking upset.

"Of course," I said, and he set the flowers on my desk and wrapped me into a hug.

"I know you said saying I love you couldn't make everything right, and I agree. I made my decision. I told Abby that she has 24 hours to get out and that she will be served the divorce papers in the morning. I love you so much, baby. The girls are with my mom, and we have the next 2 days off. Do you want to get away for the weekend?" he asked, pulling a room key out of his sweatshirt pocket.

"Of course I want to," I said, kissing him. "I'm sorry too, baby. I love you." He took my hand and we walked out to his truck, driving off to The Hilton for a relaxing weekend.
