*Brianna's POV*

The day after the party, we had to leave for Winnipeg for a game. I got permission for Evelyn to go with us. She hadn't seen Jon's parents since the beginning of the summer, and I knew that they would love to see her. The plane took off at 6:30 in the morning, just so we could be there in time for morning practice.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We are beginning our decent into Winnipeg; it is currently 45 degrees outside, and overcast. Please buckle your seat belts, have a good game tonight. GO HAWKS!!!" Our pilot is amazing.

"Mommy, are we going to get to see Grammy and pawpaw?" Evelyn asked in a tired voice.

I nodded, "As soon as we get checked into our hotel, we are going to go to their house for breakfast, ok?" She nodded, and fell back asleep.

I kind of wonder what his parents will think of me. They know about the divorce, but I'm not sure if they know I'm engaged to one of Jon's teammates and pregnant with twins that aren't Jon's.

We finally touched down, and thank God for Brandon. He grabbed Evelyn and all of our bags, minus one. Kaner picked that one up. All of the boys, except for Jon had decided I'm not lifting a finger. I can't carry Evelyn, bags, and sometimes, my purse. I have to fight Brandon about that one. We all piled onto the bus and made our way to the hotel.

"Ok, room assignments..." Coach yelled. "Tazer and Kaner. Duncs and Seabs. Shawzer and Crow. Saad and Smith. Sharpie, Kelsey, and Steeger. Hossa and Bicks. Krugs and Leddy. Hjalmarsson and Raanta. Oduya and Rozsival. Brianna, Brandon, and Evelyn. That is the room assignments, oh, and congrats to Brandon and Brianna on their engagement!" Everyone started clapping, and there were even a few wolf whistles. When we arrived at the hotel, Brandon carried Evelyn, and Kaner carried our bags. Brandon laid Evelyn down on the bed, and she instantly woke up.

"Momma, can we go see PawPaw and Grammy now?" I nodded, and called Jon's mom, Andrée.

"Hello Brianna. We are actually at the hotel right now. Jon wanted to see us before the game tonight."

I chuckled, "Ok, we'll meet you guys in the lobby." I took Evelyn's hand, and took the elevator down to the lobby. When the door opened, I saw Jon with his parents.

"GRAMMY!! PAWPAW!!!" Evelyn took off towards them. "Well, lookie here! Look how big you've gotten."

"Coach, please. Can I get put into a different room?" I looked to my right and saw coach and Kelsey.

"Fine, you can room with Duncs and Seabs."

I walked over towards Jon and his parents. Evelyn saw Jon and went stiff, and started to cry. I took Evelyn and she started to calm down.

"Well, good luck tonight son. We'll see you soon."

We all walked out to the car and made our way to breakfast. As soon as Evelyn fell asleep, I took her up to the extra bedroom and made my way back to the living room of the house I used to call my second home.

"So, what exactly happened between you two? You guys were so happy, and then we find out that you got a divorce."

I took a sip of water, "I had an off day in early August. I promised Jon that I would watch them practice, but Stan had to see me, just to tell me something. Jon started getting pissed off, and then he pushed me onto the wall, holding me by my neck, told me not to tell him to calm down. Then after practice, we were headed home, and I tried to hold his hand. He smacked mine away. I got out and went to a friends house. When I got home, we started fighting. He hit me and Evelyn saw him hit me, that's why she reacted the way she did earlier. He can't be around her without her crying. So, in the divorce papers, it clearly states he has no custody of her." I hadn't noticed that I was crying until Bryan came over and hugged me. He was always a second father to me, and I can't imagine what they must be thinking.

"Sweetie, no matter what, we're here for you. I know Jon is our son, but he's an asshole for what he did. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. We're always right here." I nodded.

"Mommy, I had a bad dream. I had a dream that he hurt you." I was confused.

"Who hurt me?"

She sniffled, "My old daddy."

I started bawling, "Bryan, take Evelyn into the kitchen please." He picked her up, and Andrée came over to me.

"Shhhh.. it's ok."

I noticed the time, "We need to get to the arena, can you drop us off?"

She nooded, "Bryan, we need to take them to the arena." We all got into the car, and before long, we pulled into the parking lot.

"Thanks for the ride, we'll see you guys soon." We walked into the bus entry, and the boys were filing off the bus. I walked through the door, and noticed Kelsey ahead of me, holding hands with Duncs. I smiled at the sight, glad she made the right decision.
