*Kelsey's POV*
I woke up to Patrick gently kissing me. I kissed him back and smiled, reflecting on the night before. It was the first time we had physically been together, and it had been incredible.
"Good morning beautiful," he said, his face close to mine.
"I'm sure I don't look very beautiful right now," I said with a laugh.
"You look stunning," he said before kissing me. "I hate to do this to you, but we have to go over to the house today to make sure Abby is gone."
"Okay, that's fine," I said, though I wasn't sure it really was fine. I didn't even want to look at her after last night.
"Are you sure? You don't have to go with me if you don't want to, baby," he said, holding me close.
"I'm sure," I said, faking a smile. I didn't really want to go in with him, because honestly? I was afraid of Abby after she hit me with her car. But he was my boyfriend, and I knew I had to support him.
"I love you," he said, kissing me and throwing off the covers. We began getting ready for the day, first getting in the shower together. I towel-dried my hair, pulling it into a loose pony tail before putting on a pair of skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt, one of Patrick's Hawks logo hoodies, and a red pair of canvas shoes. He walked out in jeans and a blue and black zip up hoodie I had bought him a few days ago.
"Ready to go, baby?" he asked, opening the door for me. We walked down to his truck and made our way over to his house.
"So I was thinking," he said on the way there. "We love each other. We'll already be rooming together any time we're on the road. I'm going for full custody of the girls, and they'll need a motherly figure. I don't plan on keeping the house. The girls don't need to continue to live in a place filled with toxic memories, and I don't want to bring you into that environment. What do you think about getting a new place together?" He asked, looking nervous of what I'd say. I reached over the center consol and took his hand.
"I think that sounds like a wonderful idea," I said with a smile. He pulled off the road and contacted his realtor, and we were off to look for houses.
After looking at several apartments and townhouses in the city, we expanded our search to some suburbs. Not long after leaving the city, we pulled up to a gorgeous gated property backed up onto a private lake. I was breathtaken, and I could tell Patrick was too. Everything inside was perfect. It had an open concept main floor, complete with very high ceilings. We walked up a spiral staircase that revealed a beautiful second floor. There was a large open hallway, and you could see down to the main floor. There were four bedrooms, enough for Maddy and Sadie to have their own rooms, and for Patrick and I to have two of our own. I grinned at the thought. Another small staircase led to the 3rd floor master suite. It was perfect. We went down to the finished basement, which had a guest bedroom and a large game room. We then went out to the back yard, which looked like something out of a fairy tale. There was a beach for the girls to play on and swim, and a dock for us to put a boat. The lake was huge. The realtor told us that it was a private 35 acre property, and the lake was all ours.
"What do you think, baby?" Patrick asked me, smiling and holding my hand.
"I think we should put in an offer," I said, grinning.
Patrick informed the realtor that we wanted to make an offer, and the realtor revealed there were multiple offers on the property. Luckily we made an offer that the current owners couldn't refuse, and they accepted the offer. We were going to close on the house tomorrow.
"This our house, baby," I said, hugging Patrick. "I can't believe it."
"Neither can I, baby," he said smiling. "Did you see all those spare rooms?" He asked, his smile growing bigger.
"I did," I said with a grin, hoping I was right about where he was going with this. He pulled me close, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"I know this is a little bit backwards, but I want nothing more than to fill one of those rooms with a little baby. I love you, Kels. What do you say?" He asked, a widespread grin on his face. Tears began to form in my eyes as I grinned back at him.
"Let's try for a baby," I said, sealing the words with the greatest kiss we ever shared.
