*Kelsey's POV*

I laid on the couch, eating ice cream and watching The Breakfast Club, occasionally wiping tears out of my eyes. I finally found someone I wanted to be with, and I couldn't have him because of my job. Go figure. I could never be happy. The thought made me cry again. Just then, the buzzer to my condo rang. I got up and opened the door, expecting to see Ben. I nearly fainted when I saw Patrick standing in front of me.

I slammed the door shut, ran to the freezer to put my ice cream away, quickly fixed my hair, and opened the door again.

"Hey....come in," I turned before I felt more tears roll down my cheek. Patrick shut the door and immediately pulled me into a hug.

"There is no one who can get in the way of my feelings for you. Not Joel, not Stan, not Kris, not Abby. All that matters is what I think and what you think. And do you know what I think, baby?" He said, putting his hand under my chin so I would look at him. "I think that you are the sweetest, most gorgeous girl in the world. I want to be with you, and I'm going to be with you no matter what anyone else thinks." He kissed me, keeping his arms around me as we stood there.

"I want to be with you," I said, kissing his cheek. "But what about my job?"

"Sweetheart," he held me tighter. "I have more than enough money to support you. I will protect you, I promise."

        "Stay and watch movies?"

"Of course," he smiled, kissing me.

*Patrick's POV*

We laid on the couch watching the rest of The Breakfast Club. About halfway through, Kelsey fell asleep on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her, thinking about how I never wanted to leave. I had never felt this way before. The more time we spent together, the more I fell for her. I just hoped she felt the same way...

*Kelsey's POV*

I woke up around 10. Patrick was asleep next to me, snoring softly. I wanted to wake up next to him every day. He woke up and kissed my forehead.

        "Hey baby...what time is it?"

"10. Do you have to go?" I said, hoping he would say no and stay with me.

"I probably should...but I don't want to. I'll stay if you let me," he said, smiling at me.

"Are you sure? I don't want you to get in trouble with Abby..."

"I'll text her and say I'm staying at Dunc's house. I don't wanna leave you..." He kissed me.

Awhile later, it occurred to me why Patrick knew to come over here. Ben. I pulled out my phone and sent him a text:

Thank you Benny. You're the best.
