The Open Road
She invites us to opportunity
Binding community with community
Nature can tear her wings
But mostly she directs like kings
Leading us to who knows where
Together though we'll get there
She's solid and dependable
Quite often indispensable
Her makeup often of the finest dirt
Often guarded so as not to hurt
Not of a fan of any lighting
I find her call oh so inviting
