Torn Ribbon
Red Ribbon Worn
Red ribbon torn
Torn tears from eyes
Torn sad from sighs
Sighs fill me up
Sighs spill out my cup
Cup my hand in yours
Cup held up to doors
Doors that separate
Doors that insulate
Insulate from tribulation
Insulate from jubilation
Jubilation fills my heart
Jubilation sings like larks
Larks bring up the sun
Larks tell us night is done
Done with stars
Done with scars
Scars mark territory
Scars tell an old old story
Story of devotion
Story set in motion
Motion of all tides
Motion gives me rides
Rides that pull up high
Rides that let me fly
Fly above the line
Fly above the pine
Pine that rocks
Pine that talks
Talks of ancient time
Talks of ancient rhyme
Rhyme of purpose born
Rhyme of lost love lorn
Lorn in woe
Lorn of hope
Hope of lark
Hope will spark
Spark that craves to
Spark the brave
Brave stands firm
Brave new wind
Wind with high mission
Wind blows red ribbon
Ribbon races cross the beds
Ribbon tattered into shreds
Shreds ripped by lead
Shreds of red
Red beds
Lead
