Things that were once stolen will eventually be returned in one way or another. Roger liked to believe in that. He and Dianna landing at Warner Brothers was proof of that logic. Fate came through with the return and in this moment, it didn't matter that it was ten years late. Nope, because it was all like sweet music to Roger's ears.

There in that meeting, amazingly, everything played to his favor. There with those people, already he felt at home. He was ninety-five percent certain that it should be. Despite that, Dianna suggested that he sleep on it before making any impulsive decisions. Roger agreed even though there really was nothing to sleep on, he felt this in his gut. WB was it.

When Dianna informed them that Roger needed time to consider, they told him to take all the time that he needed. Well before that point though, they had made it clear that they were willing to go the extra mile to acquire his talent. They'd heard his sample and, quickly, three of the five suits became addicted.

After conversing amongst themselves, they became of like mind. Things were to be on his terms exactly the way that he wanted it. They offered to give him free reign in addition to sizable advance. That didn't faze him though. Yeah their money was actually clean but it's not like he wasn't already paying his own bills.

Whatever the case, this was it. His time was finally here.

"Pinch me, Di, I think I'm dreaming."

They were back in the car now, amidst yet another cluster of traffic. The two were sitting easy though, their entire day would be chauffeured at Roger's request. He wasn't putting up with navigating the sluggish roads and he wasn't going to let Dianna stress out with it either. So he paid the cost for a service.

Now he couldn't wait to get back to his angel so that he could tell her the news.

"I know you're sold, but don't forget you still have a meet with Columbia in a couple of hours. I think you should at least go and see what they're talking about. You never know."

"No, I do know. This is it." he insisted. "I've never felt more certain about a thing in my life."

Dianna nodded acknowledging his reply. "I'm not saying that you're wrong. All I mean is that you should –"

"Try the other grass before I decide that this side is greener." He finished for her, though putting it in his own words. "I'll go. Besides, if I don't, I'm sure you'd stroke out."

Dianna's expression turned quizzical.

"You're turning all red again. That's the third time today."

There was nothing she could say back to that so she laughed. "I take my job seriously."

"Yes, that's why I picked you. But relaax a little. Two high strung people ain't good, one of us might get hung by the other ones rope."

"I just want what's best for my client."

"And your client is a smart man that appreciates your dedication." he assured. "If I'm smiling you should be too."

Dianna watched him beam brilliantly, a tad exaggerantly, and trace its curve in the air with his finger. All of that was her instruction to do the same. She did with another small chuckle.

"Much better, tomato." he approved happily.

Scrunching at the nickname, "Tomato?"

"It's either that or ketchup, which do you prefer? Choose wisely because from here on out it's your new name."
