Last night a tear slipped from Jody's eye while Roger loved her. Overcome with emotion, she hadn't noticed it until he wiped it away and asked if she was okay. Her answer was a kiss followed by the trickling of another single tear.

Last night while Roger loved Jody, she sighed his name "Prince." Subconscious it was and surprisingly to her the utterance was welcomed, for he asked her to repeat it. When she did it amazed her how she felt the clarity rush through his veins, passing through to her. You couldn't tell her that she had imagined it, the feel was far too real.

And he brightened. It was as though he'd discovered a new addiction. He asked for it once more in a voice filled with longing: a quiet plea for consolation. She granted again and again.

Many times in many ways before he had brought her to rapture. Still she would never exhaust of the feeling and last night, as he covered her body with a new love, she knew she would never find anything like it anywhere else. It felt good to finally say that she was in love.

Now morning, or noon, she wasn't certain; she lay awake looking at the one beside her. On his back he lay with eyes closed, she couldn't tell if he was still asleep. Head on her pillow, her mouth curved in happiness.

"I can feel you staring." Voice laden with sleep, he cracked a smile.

Brown orbs alight, Jody bit her lip sounding a soft giggle.

Eyes blinking open, turning sights to her, "Hello beautiful."

"Good mor...." she stopped herself, "what time is it?"

"Who cares?"

Halfway sitting up, Jody twisted to see the clock that sat on the nightstand behind her before returning to her previous position. "Good afternoon."

Touching under her chin, "I had the best dream."

"Yeah? What about?"

"This."

Denting her brows, "My chin?" she asked playfully, making him smirk amused.

"No, dork, us. Every second it's sinking in that this is real. We're together now." The last part he said like it was too good to be true. "We finally found each other again."

"I know. It's weird isnt it?" Jody enthused. "We started out as strangers and now we're like ice cream and cake. Or cookies and milk...cheese sticks and marinara, French fries and ketchup. I'm starving."

Roger snorted. "French fries do sound good right about now."

"God, yes." she was salivating just thinking about the crispy golden greasy goodness.

He yawned into a stretch. "I have to go back to Warners and make the rest of this official. We can get you your fries on the way over."

"Yay." Jody cheered.

"You ready to get up?"

Even though her stomach told her otherwise, "No." she answered.

"Me neither."

Jody watched him rest peacefully looking like all was right in his world. A new light radiated from him. She didn't think it was possible but the man before her now was even more beautiful than he was last night. Her fingers touched at his hair to make sure that he was really there. How are you even real, she wondered.

"You look different."

"How so?" he questioned.

"Brighter. Free."
