First of all, how did Lyren get the Linking Magic? Where did she get it? Remember Afiel, (spoiler alert if you're reading from last to start) Ophiel's brother, and the user of the Linking Magic? How did Lyren get that magic?

This is a battle of mortals and we have no right to interfere. And as I see it, your force is not enough to defeat Black Phoenix. Someone has to make a sacrifice." He sighed. "You are the only one that I see fit."
"Sacrifice? Anong kailangan kong isakripisyo?"
He gave me a melancholic smile. "Lahat-lahat."
My heart sank. Hindi ko pa rin maintindihan kung bakit kailangang ako. Gusto kong tumulong na iligtas ang mundo. Pero kailangan ba talaga na ako ang magsakripisyo? Hindi ba pwedeng iba na lang?
"It's not like you can do anything. Once a deity chooses you, wala kang choice kundi sumunod. Isa pa, kapag nakita mo ako, may ipapakita akong sorpresa sa iyo," sabi niya na may nakakalokong ngiti.
"Ano naman iyon?" asik ko.
He laughed. "Secret. Kapag nagpakita ka sa physical form ko, ipapakita ko siya sa iyo." Umiling-iling siya. "Mali pala. Dahil kapag hindi ka nagpakita sa akin, mamamatay ka at hindi mo na matutulungan ang mundo. Bilisan mo dahil hinahanap niya rin ako. An island to the southeast of Plendesia. Meet me there tomorrow. Good night," he winked and disappeared before I was able to say anything.
