Change (Harry Styles)

looking for a new surrounding.. (chapter12)

My parents to decide to come home the next morning and make a racket, waking everyone in the house up. Harry stayed the night, and when Harry gets woke up early for no reason, Harry get grumpy.

“Granny we got a dog” Sophia calls out, a few barks following her sentence.

“CASSIE!” My mother calls out. I mentally face-palm myself as I make my way down the stairs to my mother and father.

“Why is there a dog here?” My father asks, looking Daisy in disgust.

“Daisy” I corrected him. “Is here because the girls and Harry found her at the park yesterday with now owner and they brought it back here. And we’re keeping it.” I stated bluntly, lifting the tiny dog in my arms.

“It’s not staying in this house” My mother says.

“Fine.” I shrug. “I’ll move out.” Deciding that the conversation is over, I turn on my heel and make my way back up the stairs, wakening Harry.

“Why am I up?” He moans, rolling over and taking Daisy from my hands and petting her.

“I need to ask you something.” I say, fiddling with my thumbs.

“okay shoot”

“um, well.. Since Madison died. The girls don’t um.. Have a mum. And I was uh thinking of..”

“You wanna adopt them don’t you?” He says, setting the dog aside and pulling my into a side hug, my head on his shoulder.

“Is it a bad idea?” I sigh.

“Honestly? It’s a perfect idea. Cassie you were so good with them yesterday. You’re ready for it  if you want it.” He stated, rubbing circles on my shoulder.

I nod, sitting up and facing him with a serious look on my face.

“Something else?” He asks.

“um, I need you to help me find an apartment or something.”

He chuckles before realizing I am serious. “You’re actually serious?”

“Yes. Mother and Father don’t want the dog in the house. So I’m out so the girls can keep it.”

“See, you are ready for it” he smiles, pulling me back into a hug. “And I’ll help you every step of it yeah?”

“Thank you”

“you’re welcome. You deserve all this. Now, go get changed and we’ll take Olivia and Sophia out for breakfast and start looking yeah?” He suggests.

I bit my bottom lip and nod. “I’ll go tell the girls first.”

“I’ll do-“

“You’ve done enough Harry. Let me do this call” I laugh, leaving the room and prodding down the stairs to the girls who are in the living room.

“Girls, get dressed, we are going out” I call into them.

“Whose we?” Olivia asks, already standing up.

“Me, you two and Harry” I say.

They giggle slightly before going to their room to get ready, and I do the exact same thing.

“I like that idea” Olivia giggles after I told them about the plan of me and them to live together with Daisy.

“yeah, so we’re going to look for a new house for yous all” Harry says, trying to put a bit of enthusiasm in his voice to make the girls a bit more excited.

“As long as I get my own room” Sophia laughs, taking a sip of her milkshake before settling back in her chair again.

“Are you moving in to” Olivia ask, poking on Harrys arm.

“eh, I’ll be there a lot but I don’t think I’ll be living there.” He replies rather awkwardly.

I never even thought about that. The boys were just living together until they got the album recorded, and now it’s done they need separate places. But is it too soon to move in with Harry? I’m already adopting Olivia and Sophia, and I have a place on my own. Is that enough big steps for one day or?

“but I thin-“

“We’ll see Olivia” I cut her off, just trying to shut her up. “let’s go”

We all climb out of the booth in the small cafe and Harry pays, much to my dismay. 

“We’ll see?” Harry whispers in my ear once he was standing beside me.

“I was just trying to keep her quiet” I say, picking up a nagging Olivia into my arms.

“I think we should talk about it” he winks, but then his face goes into a serious one, and he too picks up Sophia.

“maybe.” I mumble as we make our way over to the house that Harry found online.
