Breaking news – chapter thirty-eight..

“Thank goodness you’re here” Ally skips over to me as soon as I come into the dance studio, and by the looks of things, she is already stretched and warmed-up, ready to dance. “There is some big announcement today”
“Oh really?” I scoff, beginning to stretch, “Says who?”
“Um, Effie?” Ah, Effie Carter. Effie is out dance coach, she keeps us busy until someone is in need of out talent. She’s absolutely nuts, but then again, so is half of this group.
“YOOOO!” Spencer shouts, making the class fall quiet. Spencer is Effie’s daughter, she dances too, but her style is specifically hip-hop/streetdance, whereas everybody in this class is pretty much capable of doing every style, since we don’t know what kind of music that the celebrity makes, we just have to learn everything. “Effie’ll be here in half an hour, until then, practice Justin Bieber – as long as you love me or somethin’” she says, waving her hand dismissively. That is one thing I like about Spencer, she may come across as lazy and someone who doesn’t care about anything, but she is just a very carefree and outgoing person, and once it comes to dancing, she is the most clued-in person you can get. And she calls her mum Effie but is still respectful about it, which not many people can pull off.
Spencer puts on the song, and soon we are all dancing to Justin Bieber.

“Oh darlings, sorry I’m late” Effie’s chirpy voice blares out as she comes striding into the studio. “Take a break my sweets and then go over Jessie J – Domino.” That is another thing I like about the Carter family, they have a really good taste in music, and pick songs that we are actually able to enjoy dancing to. Not to mention the fact that Spencer’s brother, Jay, is extremely good looking.
“So Al,” I start, searching through my gym bag for a bottle of water. Once found, I take it out and take a long swig of it before continuing. “Thought there was a big announcement?”
“there will be” She huffs, taking a sip of her water, “just wait”
“Hey guys, did you hear there’s going to be some announcement today?” Our red-headed friend bounces over to us. And by ‘red’ I don’t mean that red that everybody uses for gingers, I mean proper red, slightly dark-pink.
When it spreads around here that there is some announcement, everybody gets excited, because it usually means that some of us get to go dance for those ridiculously good looking and pretty singers or something.
“Oh please Roxie, yo-“ I am cut off by Effie calling out to her ‘darlings’ to start dancing again, in which we do.

“Good work today guys” Spencer says goodbye to the out-of-breath dancers leaving the studio.
“Can Ella Andrews, Roxie Jones, Ally Hutcherson, Cassie White and Romly Jones please come here a minute please”
The way in which Effie says this, makes me think we are in trouble, but then as we come to a stop in front of her, a massive grin appears on her face.
“You five, are our best female dancers here, which is why I have picked yous, to go on tour with a band. So, next week yous will be leaving to tour with them for a month, maybe longer.”
The four girls standing with me erupt into screams of joy and jump up and down in excitement, I even join in, but that stops once Effie says who the band is.
