20. Thank You Vex

I woke up and still had pain in my arm, I saw Derek sitting next to me and said "hey, sorry for last night, I found your phone, it's pretty smashed up but it still works" he handed it to me "Hey, I had dashcam and I reviewed the footage, and I gotta say, It's pretty sweet." I looked at it and, as it was only six, the sun gave a good angle and showed everything. "cool" I said. He then asked "hey, you don't mind if I put in on youtube, do you? I promise to split the profits, you get the most"

"50/50, or I will give you more" I threatened

"Ok, Ok. You win, 50/50" he said

"Ok then, it's settled" I said I checked my phone and I had no new messages. "send that video to me." I said to Derek, before leaving the building, grabbing my vest. I raced out to the street and called Vexera. No response, "oh no, she didn't get the message" I said to myself. I then saw a car jolt forward then drive for a bit, then jerk forward and continue, the car had L plates on it and it pulled up beside me. Vexera got out and said "how's my driving?", "shocking, absolutely shocking" we both laughed and she said "I got your message, but only this morning, I was kind of sad when you didn't come, but I am happy that you called. Why did you show up as an unknown number?" I showed her my phone and she asked "what happened?". Then luck kicked in and the message showed up. I showed her the video and she was amused, "that's cooool, who did you hit?" 

"Derek, I met him when I went to Amberley"

"ok, cool" she was about to get into the car when she said "hey, this was for last night" she handed me a large box from the back seat "here" she gave it to me and drove, well rather stopped and started. "get an automatic!" I shouted and she got control and drove off smoothly, obviously trying to prove a point.

I walk home and take a shower, I washed out my hair of all the gunky spray and wash my tail of shine. I brush my teeth and put on a new suit. I have a brainwave and do some simple math, I decide that today is the day, the day that I ask her to do something that advances our relationship further. But what? what can I do? I check my reflection in the mirror. I look just like great uncle Tory, when he went to the... Ball! He was the one that got me into suits, he was always so joyful in them. I look at the times of Balls in my area, and one is in a couple of days, in Katherine.

I approach her house with a note just in case I can't do it. I knock on her door and wait. "Who is it?" Vex shouted, I just said "it's me Vex" she opened the door and said "well if it isn't my boyfriend, come in, come in" I walked in and said "Vex, I was wondering if you could... come to Katherine with me?", she pondered for a while and said "I know your plans", I said "well, tell me, I would love to know them" I said. She then said "we're going to Kathrine".
