29. Where Do We Go

Vexera crossed the square and I stood up. she opened her arms and started running, I opened my arms and braced myself for impact. She got to me and she hugged me and said "I haven't seen you in so long" she hugged me tighter, "I Love you, so much. Please don't do that again" we hugged for five minutes before she broke away and kissed me. After what it felt to be a few short moments, She broke away and said "what did you want to do?" I looked at her and she immediately knew what I was thinking.

When we get inside she looks at the overhead signs and points the way. Left, we arrive at our destination, we walk in to two mammals screaming a song at the top of their lungs, they were obviously drunk. Me and Vexera sit down, "so, how'd you go?" she said

"well, apart from being shot down twice, pretty well, I managed to pay off the growler that was shot down, and I got a jet" I said

"cool" she said "so, are we going to do some karoke?" I nodded and she stood up and asked for any requests. "yes" and I stood up and said "what do you want to sing, you usually ask, and I want to shake things up a bit" she smiled and said "ok, well, I would like to sing the best song in the world, tribute" I walk up then I realise that I forgot a fundamental part of asking something. you need confidence.

"umm... Me and my... Partner... would like to sing two songs" I said unconfidently 

"sure thing, what two songs will that be?" the man asked, without breaking a sweat

"um... best song in the world... tribute and uh... land down under." I said, once again being uncofident 

"you'll be on in about two minutes, have fun" he said. I made my way back to my seat, that was hard, I had always had some background before I talk to them. When I made it back, she asked "how long?"

"he said about two minutes" I replied

"so do you want anything?" handing me the menu.

"no thanks, I'm all good for now" I said. We started talking about having conversations with people wben the PA sounded with "thank you for that performance of, uh... screaming. Let me welcome two others to the stage with an opening performance of best song in the world, tribute." Vex and I walk onto the stage, she was wearing a smile when the music began. 

AFTER 'THE GREATEST SONG IN THE WORLD, TRIBUTE'

I see the crowd clapping and cheering, but all I could hear is gunfire and a jet falling out of the air at two-twenty knots and falling fast, I snap out and hear "well, you might have thought that was good, can you hear the thunder? It's land down under! Don't forget that the bar still serves lemonade". We hear the music start and I am instantly at my first date with Vex, both of us sixteen, but we are still going strong.

AFTER 'LAND DOWN UNDER'

I walked off stage with her and she stopped just off stage. "we've been engaged fo a while now, and I was thinking if maybe... we could... get married, have kids, and... well... have a life together" she said.
