"Babe, are you gonna come eat dinner?" I ask, raising my brows at Justin as he sits at his desk in his home office.

"N-no, I've got some things to do." he answers shortly, his eyes focused on his computer screen.

"O-okay." I say softly, leaving the office and making my way towards the kitchen. "He's not coming to dinner, he's um, got a lot of work to do."

Mama Lee nods and I sit with the kids, starting to eat as I feed Brayden and the kids eat on their own.

This is how it's been for the past week. Justin rarely communicates with any of us as he's always locked up in his study. We don't eat lunch together anymore either as I'll go out and bring his food back. He comes to bed late and although we get up at the same time, there's no attempt of small talk. I have no idea what he's thinking or what his plans are.

"Hey, Mama Lee, can you watch the kids tomorrow afternoon so I can go to lunch with my friend Aileen?" I ask after a few minutes.

She nods. "Of course honey. You never go out."

I grin. "I know. I kind of need it with everything going on."

"What's going on?" Kameron asks, giggling.

"Nothing buddy, just grown up stuff." I tell him, giving him a grin.

He giggles, continuing to eat his food.

I look to Mama Lee who gives me a small, sympathetic smile.

A couple hours later, I shut Brayden's nursery door silently, turning and making my way towards my room before showering and getting ready for bed.

Yawning, I stretch my tense limbs, climbing into my side of the bed, covering my body with the blankets before starting to play on my phone for a few minutes.

After almost an hour, I find myself finally beginning to drift off as the bedroom door creaks open.

"Mommy?"

Furrowing my brows, I turn on the small lamp beside me, allowing it to illuminate the room.

"Kameron?" I ask, shocked not only that he was in the room but that he called me mommy.

"Mommy I can't sleep." He informs me.

I lick my lips, trying to settle with his new name for me. "Okay, come here."

He walks over, climbing onto the bed and picking at his lip as he does when he's nervous.

"What's wrong?" I ask him, pulling his hand from his mouth gently.

"Where's daddy?"

"Daddy's working." I tell him softly, moving his hair back.

"He's always working." He said angrily, pouting.

I gulp, kissing his head. "I know. Come on, I'll put on pj masks for you until you fall asleep."

He nods, following me to his room as I put the show on for him. Placing the timer on for an hour, I then leave the room, whispering goodnight towards him and shutting the door.

Once making it back to our room, I climb back into bed and turn the light off again, trying to get some rest after this exhausting week.

Less than ten minutes later, the door opens again, only this time I hear Justin's heavy steps on the hardwood floor, changing his clothes, using the restroom and starting to get into bed.

"Why's Kam's tv on?" He asks once in bed, knowing I'm awake.

"He couldn't sleep." I tell him softly, my back to him.
