"Okay." I let out the deep breath I had taken in just a few seconds ago.

"Don't worry, baby. Relax. Everything's gonna be fine. And if you need me, text me and I'll be on my way immediately." Justin says, massaging my shoulders before rubbing my arms comfortingly.

I nod. "Right. I mean, he's my dad."

He nods. "Exactly."

"Okay, I gotta go before I'm late."

He smiles, nodding again. "Before you go..."

I furrow my eyebrows, wondering where he plans to go with this.

He reaches into his pocket, grabbing the keys to the Lexus RC, and holding them out to me..

"Babe." I say, giving him a look..

"What?" he asks, oblivious. "You need to pull up in something sharp."

I roll my eyes and grab the keys. "Fine."

"Good." he smiles and kisses me. "Have a good time."

I nod, kissing the kids goodbye and walking outside. Seeing as it's dusk in April, the air is cold as I get into the car.

Driving to a local small restaurant, I park the car and climb out before walking over to the entrance where my mother told me he would meet me. I stuff my hands in my pockets, biting my lip nervously as I wait patiently.

"Elianna?"

Lifting my head, I look over to my right, noticing a man walking up to me. Unable to find my voice, I nod my head.

He smiles. "Wow, look how grown up you are."

I grin lightly. "Thanks. Should we um, should we go inside?"

He nods. "Yes, yes. It's freezing out here, let's go."

I nod and walk inside, saying a quick thank you as he opens the door for me.

We're seated and order before an awkward silence comes over us... until he breaks it thankfully.

"I'm assuming your mother has explained everything to you?" he asks softly.

I nod. "She did, yeah."

He nods. "I'm glad. I didn't know how I'd tell you if not."

I grin. "I understand. I can't imagine telling Brayden that I was sick and may not be there for him as he grew up."

"Brayden?" he asks, blinking a few times.

"Oh, right." I sigh, realizing he doesn't know anything. "Brayden is um, Brayden's my son."

His eyes widen slightly. "You... you're a mother?"

I nod. "Yeah. Um, he's amazing. I never understood why mom and you always acted the way you did until I had him. I appreciate you guys so much more now." I grin.
