"Thank you!" I call out as the bell on the office door rings, allowing me to walk outside and grin at Aileen. "First months rent and all fees are paid. She said we can start moving in immediately."

She nods, clapping excitedly. "Yay! Wanna go get some lunch before you go home to the kids?"

I nod. "Yeah, I could really use a caesar salad actually."

"Awesome then we'll just go to the little place on the corner by Justin's office." she smiles.

Hopping in the car, I drive us to the small restaurant, parking close to the entrance as it's starting to rain lightly.

Locking the car, I start towards the entrance with Aileen on my tail when the door opens and a sadly familiar face appears.

Her lips purse as she recognizes me. "Elianna, right?"

I nod. "Hello Lily."

"How are my children?"

"They're perfectly fine." I reply, giving her a smile.

"Well, I don't believe that." she laughs lightly. "They need their mother."

"Don't worry, they have mama lee and myself, they'll be okay." I inform her, nodding.

"Are you saying that you've replaced me?" she asks, becoming angry.

I shake my head. "No, not at all. I'm just saying that we've been around long enough that they know they can count on us. You left them so their trust in you is probably not as strong." I shrug. "That's all."

"If you think for a second that I'm going to let you take my kids from me-"

"It's technically not possible for me to take your kids from you when you don't have them in the first place." I tell her. "Justin has full custody and right now you don't even have visitation. And may I remind you that I'm his girlfriend and will most likely tell him about this conversation so you might wanna watch what you say and how you act."

She looks at me with an angry gleam in her eye and her lips pushed out to one side. "I will get my children."

I nod respectfully. "Good luck in court."

She glares at me as I pull Aileen by, walking into the restaurant.

"Hello." the hostess says as we enter, grinning fakely towards us.

"Hi, just two." I grin.

She nods, seating us.

After ordering, I let out a sigh, inwardly stressing over how to inform Justin that I'll be moving out for the time being.

"What are you thinking about?" she asks, laughing at my quietness.

"Oh, I'm just trying to figure out how to tell Justin... and how he's going to react." I shrug, taking a sip of my drink.

"I think he'll understand. I mean, yeah, he wants you to live with him but I think he'll know you're doing it for him and the kids and not because you wanna leave him." she tells me, sending me a small smile.

I nod. "Yeah, you're right."

"What about what just happened outside, are you gonna tell him about that?" she asks, raising her brows.

I smirk, laughing lightly. "She's scared she'll lose everything."

"With good reason." Aileen notes, nodding. "I mean, the kids are already so attached to you. They call you mom."
