After my relaxing shower, I get dressed in a pair of shorts and a tee, exiting my room and looking at the empty living room with confusion written on my facial expressions.
Splash!
Turning around, I walk over to the other bathroom our apartment has, noticing Brayden in the bathtub while Justin sits on the outside, playing with him although he had clearly already bathed him.
"You gave him a bath. Thank you." I grin, leaning against the door frame.
"Mama!" Brayden says, smiling over at me.
"Hi baby." I smile, scrunching my face in his direction to make him laugh as Justin turns to him.
"Seriously?! But you still can't say dada?!"
I laugh, smiling down at them. "He'll say it eventually."
Justin smiles up at me before looking back to Brayden and draining the tub. "Alright, let's give you to mommy so she can get you dressed while I clean up this mess."
Picking Brayden up in a towel, Justin hands him to me and I carry him to his room, putting him in a diaper and pajamas before laying him in his bed where he immediately starts crying.
"Hold on, bud." I mumble to myself, hurrying into the kitchen and quickly heating him a bottle.
Once it's done, I take it to him, making him immediately roll over and start drinking.
"Goodnight baby." I whisper, turning on his night light and sound machine.
"Goodnight buddy." Justin says, leaning over and kissing his head, somehow reaching it.
We both leave the room, shutting the door and making our way to the living room.
"Alright," Justin sighs, plopping down on the couch.
I laugh lightly. "I've gotta get to bed soon. I've got work in the morning."
"I'm pretty sure your boss isn't gonna get mad." he says, giving me a look.
I roll my eyes, sitting on the couch as well, further away from him.
"So, I was thinking... maybe since the kids miss each other and us. We should figure out some type of visitation thing until the custody thing is over. That way the kids get to see each other and both of us." he says. "Especially with you not living at home right now."
I nod. "I don't see why that's a bad idea." I shrug. "I'd love to figure out something. But what would we do?"
He takes in a breath before slowly letting it out. "Maybe every other weekend? You have all three here one weekend and then I have them the next?"
I nod. "That seems fair."
He nods. "Okay, good. Then we'll start this weekend and since I got to see Brayden tonight, I'll let you have them this weekend."
I grin. "Thanks."
He smiles. "Of course."
"But I have one, very important condition."
His brows raise immediately.
"You cannot, under any circumstances put all of the work on mama lee and not take care of them while they are with you. They want you." I tell him. "I don't wanna send Brayden over there to spend time with her, even though I love her like family. I want him there with you. You're who he considers his father and that's important to me."
He scoots closer, taking my hands. "I promise you I will not leave them with her and throw myself into my work like I've been doing. I will take care of them and spend time with them. I'll make them my priority."
