With moving Yoongi had come across the present he received from his friends before leaving New York. He had never opened it, always too afraid he'd get too upset. Yoongi has no reason as to why he'd be upset, he just knew he'd get emotional. However, after finding the wrapped up box again he couldn't forget about it. With the last of the unboxing around him, it was inevitable that he would find it. That's how Yoongi ended up standing in the middle of his new living room, staring at the wrapped box. The wrapping was still in perfect shape, not a rip in sight. With one last sigh he began to pull away the colorful paper. Underneath is a simple black box.
Openings it up all he sees is tissue paper. However, after taking away a bit he finds a card. He debates on whether to open the card first or continue through the box. He decides to keep going through the box. Taking away the next layer of tissue paper he's met by a picture frame. Upon seeing the photo he chuckles quietly. It's a picture he, Joan, and Jae took right in front of the giant Christmas tree in Time Square. Jae was being his usual funny self and the other two were dying of laughter as the photo was taken. Underneath the frame we're a bunch of loose photos of different moments. He smiles as he remembers each moment.
"Hey Yoongi I was wond- is everything ok?" Taehyung says entering the living room only to see his boyfriend in a melancholy state. "Huh? Oh, yea everything is fine I just found something from when I was in the states." They don't speak about that time much, usually because they always end with Yoongi feeling an immense amount of guilt. "Oh, that's good?" Taehyung says in an unsure tone. Yoongi lets out a breathy laugh, almost seeming unsure himself. "I guess, if anything it's more photos for you to find adorable." The older says, gummy smile forming on his face.
"Oh, did you take a lot of selcas while there?" Taehyung says. Yoongi shakes his head before taking the frame out of the box. "When I got there, the city was just too beautiful not to take photos of. The way it lit up at night always reminded me of how your eyes get when you're talking about something that's really important to you. While I was taking photos I met one of the few friends I made there, she ended up becoming my boss actually. She was obsessed with photography, which was obvious with the way she handled her job. Whenever her, a mutual friend and I hung out she always took photos. When I left they gave me this and I hadn't opened it until now." Yoongi rambled.
Taehyung nodded, unsure what to say. He didn't know Yoongi had friends back in the states. Friends who cared enough to document moments. Yet, Yoongi left them to come back to him? Taehyung wasn't sure if he should be happy with how much Yoongi wanted to be around him or be upset that Yoongi had to leave his friends behind. "Do you still talk to them?" Taehyung asked before thinking it through. As soon as he heard himself say those words he readied himself for an emotional breakdown from his lover. "No not really. I'm better at speaking English than writing it and Joan always would wonder if I'm talking bad about her when I would speak to Jae in Korean." Yoongi said in a melancholy tone. Taehyung nodded awkwardly, still not sure how to handle the situation.
They stood there in silence for a bit, before Yoongi looked up from the photos. "You're awfully quiet, is something wrong?" He asks. Taehyung stays silent for a bit, trying to figure out the right words to convey what he's feeling. Eventually all he can say is "Do you miss them at all?" It's not what he was looking for, but it's the best way he can think of breaking the tension he's feeling. Yoongi looks shocked for a moment, not expecting the question at all. "Well, yea I guess. But I missed here more." Yoongi answers and the other can only nod. Looking back at the box, Yoongi finds a photo of himself trying to not pull all the cheese off his pizza after taking a bite into it. As he picks it up he beckons Taehyung to come over to him. When the younger sees it, he stares at it for a moment before chuckling.
"You're so adorable!" He squeals, pinching Yoongi's cheeks. Yoongi blinks at the one eighty Taehyung's mood took, but doesn't address it. Instead he basks in happiness radiating off of Taehyung. Taehyung looks over at the box and lets out a noise of amazement. "Wow, she really is talented." He says picking up a photo of Yoongi staring at Time Square in amazement. "I think you and Joan would get along." Yoongi says. Taehyung can tell he misses them just by his tone. The nostalgic stare he has brings Taehyung down a bit again before an idea pops into his head. "I was offered to do a photo shoot in New York actually. I was actually going to ask if you had no schedule that week so we could go together. Maybe while we're there I can meet these friends of yours?" Yoongi looks up at Taehyung with hopeful eyes. He nodded before placing the box down and hugging Taehyung.
Taehyung in that moment, felt nothing but pure joy when he saw that look. The hesitance he felt the moment the idea popped into his head was long gone now. Instead all he could feel was excitement for what was to come. He wasn't sure if Yoongi's friends would like him, but that didn't really matter as long as he got to see Yoongi happy. That's all he could ever truly ask for, just to see the person he loved most happy.

This is a bit short I know. I'm sorta stuck between wanting to finish the book and being unsure as to how to finish the book. To be perfectly honest it could be the next chapter that is the last. I know that's sad but I think I've stretched this story line thin enough.
I'm not too sure, but there definitely won't be too many more chapters to come.
