As per usual, Soonyoung watched from a distance as Hansol talked and laughed with Seungkwan after dance practice.  Why was it just so hard to go up and talk to him?  Sure, he did consider himself friends with Hansol- they were in the same band after all- but their conversations were usually initiated by Hansol.  And Soonyoung always ended up getting tongue-tied and embarrassing himself.

When did he start feeling like this, anyway?  He couldn't exactly remember.  It probably wasn't long after their debut, maybe even before that.  Hansol just had a magnetic personality.  It would be hard for anyone not to fall for his positive attitude and good looks.

Hansol ran his hand through his light brown hair, pushing it away from his face.  He smiled widely and Soonyoung swore that the world got a little brighter.  He wished he could stop time and stay like that forever, just looking at Hansol.  He would give anything just to see him happy.

Soonyoung's eyes widened at a sudden weight on his shoulder.  He turned his head to see Jihoon resting his chin there.

"You're staring," Jihoon said.  Soonyoung's face turned a light shade of red.

"I'm not!" he protested.  His friend smirked.

  "I know you like him."

  "I don't!"

"Stop lying.  It doesn't take a genius to notice the way you look at him."  Soonyoung's face was definitely a brighter red now.  Was it really that obvious?

"Fine," he admitted, "maybe I like him.  But will you please shut up, he's gonna hear you!"  An evil look crossed over Jihoon's face.  He glanced at Soonyoung for a moment before screaming at the top of his lungs,

"HEY HANS-"  Soonyoung quickly muffled Jihoon's scream with his hand.  Hansol had turned his head toward the two boys, perplexed.  Soonyoung stared back at him in shock, his hand still covering Jihoon's mouth.

"Never mind, never mind!" he said, slowly releasing his friend whom he then dragged to a corner of the room.  He slapped Jihoon on the arm before whispering, "what the hell was that?"  Jihoon just shrugged.

"I was trying to embarrass you, obviously."  Soonyoung glared down at him.  "And wouldn't it be better to just tell him how you feel and get it over with instead of just moping around all the time and being jealous of Seungkwan?"  That earned him another slap on the arm.

"I do not mope around!  And for your information, I am not jealous of anyone."  Soonyoung was saying all this while simultaneously sneaking glances at Hansol and Seungkwan- and wishing he was the one making Hansol laugh with some dumb joke.  He was not jealous at all.  Nope.  Lies.

"Whatever, suit yourself," Jihoon said.  "Just so you know, I'm the one who's telling the truth, though."  With that, Soonyoung stormed out, not noticing Hansol's concerned eyes following him.
