Chan managed to sneak out quietly, without being noticed. Soonyoung sank back onto his bed. He covered his face with his hands.
"Oh god, Hansol you weren't supposed to hear that. . ."
"I figured," Hansol laughed sarcastically. "Are you okay, though?" He sat down next to Soonyoung.
"To be honest, no," Soonyoung replied. "I don't know what to do! This could never work. You probably hate me now. . ."
Hansol was shocked. "Of course not, why would I hate you?"
Either Soonyoung didn't hear or chose to ignore him. "I'm really sorry," he rambled on, "I shouldn't have said anything. I guess I understand if you never want to talk t-"
"Soonyoung! Just listen to me!" Hansol interjected, but Soonyoung was talking to himself more than Hansol.
"-so stupid, now I'm really scared but I guess I deserve it, it's my own fault. . ."
"Soonyoung, shut up!" Hansol shouted, cutting him off. The older boy looked up with wide eyes. "You talk too much," he said quietly, leaning closer. Before he could process what was happening, Soonyoung was being pulled toward Hansol and felt Hansol's lips press against his own. He was confused and happy and scared all at the same time, but he closed his eyes and kissed back.
After a few seconds, Hansol hesitantly pulled away. Soonyoung was speechless. Hansol took one of his hands in his own.
"There's not really much I'm sure of right now," he started, "and I don't even know if we're allowed to be together. It's gonna be scary and it sure as hell won't be easy, but I'm willing to try, so will you be my boyfriend?"
Soonyoung nodded. "Y-yeah, of course!" He broke into a wide grin and threw his arms around Hansol, who was smiling just as much. "I really like you, you know that?" Soonyoung asked as he released his now boyfriend.
"Yeah, I know," Hansol laughed. "For how long?" he asked.
Soonyoung thought about it. "I don't know," he replied honestly. "A long time. Maybe even before our debut. What about you?"
"Not that long," Hansol said, "A little over year, maybe. I only got the courage to actually have a real conversation with you recently, though."
"Really?" Soonyoung asked. "You always seem so confident!"
"Thanks," Hansol responded.
"You're perfect!" Soonyoung declared. "You're so nice to everyone and you don't judge me for being really weird and awkward and you're obviously the most handsome in Seventeen! In any k-pop band!"
"I'm not perfect," Hansol said, wrapping his arm around Soonyoung's waist. "I'm weird too and you've got the best personality in the whole group, you're like actual sunshine. And you're definitely the most handsome in all of k-pop!" Soonyoung blushed. "I'm not perfect. But," Hansol continued, "I could get used to hearing your compliments." Hansol pulled Soonyoung in for another kiss and connected their lips once again. This must be what heaven feels like, thought Soonyoung.
