Soonyoung was beginning to get worried watching Hansol's incessant pacing; he was practically tearing his hair out. He looked like a madman, muttering to himself.
"Just tell me what's wrong!" Soonyoung shouted, bringing Hansol back to reality. He sighed.
"It's complicated and I'm not sure you want to know about my shitty past. . ."
"I do, so tell me."
Hansol sat down and looked at Sooyoung with an uncertain expression. "I used to have this girlfriend, Sunmin. She was. . . amazing. I loved her and I really thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with her," he paused, "is this making you uncomfortable?"
"No, go on." To be honest, it was making him a little uncomfortable, but Hansol obviously didn't have a good relationship with this girl anymore, so Soonyoung figured he shouldn't be jealous of her.
"You know I love you and only--"
"God, I know and I want you to get on with it, I need answers." He cracked a small smile, prompting Hansol to do the same.
"Anyway, Sunmin was great, too good to be true. Which is exactly what she was, because she turned out to be. . . more than 'the jealous type.' At first it was nothing, I figure any girl might get a little nervous if her boyfriend was talking to other girls, right? But it got worse and worse. I had this friend, Seohyeon. We were really close and I guess Sunmin must have mistaken our friendship for something more. For weeks she begged me to stay away from Seohyeon and when I didn't, she. . . confronted her."
Soonyoung was gaining a sense of dread from this whole conversation. "What do you mean by 'confronted'?"
"She pulled out a knife and chased her out the door. I think she might have had the intention of killing her, but I held her back and Seohyeon got away, thank god. Sunmin's family moved away a few weeks later and I didn't see her again until now." Hansol's form deflated as he put his head in his hands. "I don't know what I'm going to do." He continued talking without looking at Soonyoung, "Today I realized that she's been behind everything that's been happening lately. She was that 'jsm' account and she. . ." he faltered, "she's the one who shot you."
Soonyoung swallowed hard and clenched his fists. He tried not to think about it. "You know it's not your fault," he said quietly.
"I know but I can't help feeling responsible. I feel like I've failed you."
