After a while the night terrors stopped and it was a good sign because I was getting better night sleeps. Though after what happened I was restless this night and just wanted to make it through the night but i was waking up every two hours. When I woke up for the third time I climbed out of bed and grabbed my phone seeing that Tyler had text me. I didn't pay attention earlier but I wasn't in the mood to talk. I placed my phone on the dresser and I was hit by the light of the full moon. Usually it wasn't bothered by it but I had a weird feeling about , like something wasn't right.
"Your feeling it too"
I turned and saw that Scott was standing a the door, leaning on the frame of it
"Yeah something seems off" I added
We stared at each other in silence. Before one of us can say a word, there was a loud screech booming from outside.
"Something's not right" I said on edge
"Lets go"
We ran outside and looked around searching for the cause of the noise but nothing or no one was being seen. Before I can do anything i was smashed into the ground by a great force.
"Holy shit" Scott shouted
I managed to move my head to look back and I saw that a wolf was standing attop me. I examined it more a noticed it wasn't a normal wolf , it was built and standing on two's so i know it was a warewolf
"Why's a warewolf in town at this time" Scott asked
I powered up to push the wolf off but it forced me back down
"No it's not a normal ware , it's much stronger then a normal one"
"Well whatever it is, it's getting off me right now" I shouted
I powered up tremendously and the wolf lost balance falling back. I turned to face it and it just gnarled at me.
"Greg be careful he Doesn't seem normal c Scott said
"Neither are we" I added " and I'll be aware of that" as I stared down the ware the air thickened
"His eyes are blue Greg"
"Excuse me" I asked confused
"He has our same blue eyes" Scott continued
I examined the ware but before I got a chance to he shot at me extremely fast and delivered a heavy punch. I flew across the city from the hit and landed in the forest
"Okay enough playing around" I said gritting my teeth.
The wolf was in the forest on the matter of seconds.
"He's fast too" I added
Scott caught up to me and was ready to assist me.
"Scott support me, ill fight him" I instructed as he nodded
I increased my energy more and the wolf hit me again but this time it didn't hurt as much but it still stinged
I caught my foothold and with my other leg I delivered a heavy knee to his stomach.the wolf gasped from the blow and I kicked it away with my other leg.
"He's something else" Scott added
"Yeah........but our goal is to restrain him so let's get ready"
I charged at the wolf head on and he attacked, I moved at the last second and the attack grazed my face and I punch him straight in the stomach. He grabbed my arm and started tossing my around. Scott quickly punched him making him release me
"Scott run"I shouted as I shot energy blasts at him
They all connected , but he showed no sign of damage.
"We're gonna need to break his defense if we want to cause damage" he said dusting himself off "and it's gonna have to be a big hit"
"I got a plan" Scott looked shocked " You distract him while I charge up this attack I've been working on" I explained
"Will it inflict allot of damage" he asked
"As far as I know of it'll be able topknock him out" I explained
"Alright I'll follow through"
He sped off towards the wolf and started running circles around him. The wolf attempted to attack but he kept missing.
I placed my hands out and a purple evergy ball appeared in my right and a blue in my left, I merged them together in front of me and started to increases the power within it. After two minutes it had reached its peak
"Alright Scott in ready , make sure is in front of the blast" I shouted as the blast boomed through the quiet forest
"Understood" he shoited as he led the wolf in my direction
Once the wolf was in target I fired the energy and it hurled immensely at the wolf last second Scott vanished and the wolf was hit head on. After the attack hit the ground was scared by the blast wave.
"Got....him" I said painting heavily
"That blast took a tole on you didn't it" Scott asked
"Only used it once prior to this" I explained
"Oh.... well look wolf man is down" he said approaching the wolf's body
The wolf was indeed knocked out, we saw it had staggered breaths. I stood with my back facing the wolf as I talked to Scott
"Any clue on what he his" I asked slowly catching my breath
"Might be a DreamWolf" Scott suggested
"Dreamwolf?"
"Basically it shares an appearance to a warewolf but it has powers added to it and can be deadly" he explained briefly
"Glad we took it down before it can cause harm" I said in relief "lets take him back to the forest where my cabin-"
Before I can finish I felt a sharp , unbearable pain on my back, I turned and saw that the wolf had managed to get up and attack still. Before I fell to the ground I blasted him with another strong blast making him fall over again, then I kept him in a barrier to keep him from getting up again
"Greg" Scott shouted and grabbed
"......i.... don't feel...... to hot" I said weakly
"Greg it's gonna be okay let's take you to your sister she can assist you" Scott said panicked
I felt the pain from the scratch. It was from my right shoulder across my back and down towards my left hip. I was slowly losing consciousness.
"Greg stay with me Greg" Scott shouted
His voice slowly got softer and eventually I blacked out completely
