16.Surprises

It was two and my family was gonna be back any moment. I was waiting by the window to wait for their arrival. Scott and Tyler sat in the couch waiting with me patiently. Once I had seem they arrived I went out to great them.........shortly after realizing I no longer had my beanie on

".......Greg your hair" Ramsey asked

"What happened to it" Irene added

"Your eyes are blue.......why?" Miguel said

"What happened while we were gone" David finished with

I wanted to tell them but I was wasn't sure how to start so i just stared silently. I gestured them to come in. As they walked in they were greeted by Scott and Tyler and the twins immediately focused their attention to the cakes and gifts forgetting about the situation with me.

"That was easy distracting them" I said in relief

"Explain now" David said demanding

"Woah woah relax David it's just-"

"I'm the oldest one here so I'm responsible, did one of your friends do this to you, Greg your twenty-five , you shouldn't be acting like a kid" he blurted out

"It's no one's fault okay" I said "it just happened" I said submissively

"What are you talking-" he was cut off as he saw a book flying down and landing in my hand

The four of them stared in disbelief. I showed them the book as Scott explained everything to them. It didn't really help they still were confused

"Wait so those dreams actually meant something" Miguel asked

I nodded

"So Greg you finally awakened your power after so long" Irene said making the other three direct thier attention to her

"Explain Irene" Ramsey said

"Greg had a dormant power resigning in him, I could sense it, but I didn't know how to awaken it, along with that I wasn't sure if I could either way"

"He needed me to awaken it" Scott said suddenly

They looked at him

"Ah of course, you're one of them aren't you" Irene asked

"Yep the three of us are the ones who were assigned to be the Dream Warriors" Scott said

"Seriously that's the name? " I asked

"You never told us that" Tyler added

"I..uh.....it didn't seem important at the time" Scott said looking away. "Yes Irene that who we are"

"So no luck on the fourth guy" she asked

"No but we have a hunch that he might be here in Tennessee" I responded with

"How come" Ramsey asked

"I found these two here and we know what he looks like , either Tyler will recognize him or I'll link with him" I explained

"What do you mean link" Miguel asked

"Look at Scott, seems like a typical blonde right, blonde hair blue eyes" they nodded "out of all the possible blondes when I saw him I recognized him almost instantly"

"But that can just be a coincidence" David said

"No it's true" Scott said " I recognized him right away because he's titled as the leader , only he has the ability to connect with the others un-intentionally"

"So when he awakened his power his hair turned grey and his eyes turned blue" David asked

"Yes , although he's still incomplete, as are we" Scott said

"How are you so informed" Irene asked

"Like your brother, my title is the mage, I have lots of knowledge and my job is to locate the leader since we compliment each other" Scott explained

"Oh I just remembered" i blurted out "I need you guys to test something" I said running up to my room.

I returned shortly after with the weapons and placed them on the living room floor

"Ah yes I completely forgot" Scott said

"What's this for Greg" David asked

"You guys ........looks like we're gonna be forming a team" I said smiling

"Theres an archer , swordsman,wizard and warlock" Scott told them "each of you are connected to a designated weapon"

"Irene you go first" I told her

She walked toward and examined the sword and bow. shortly after she focused her attention on the staffs and grabbed the one with cross engraved on it

"Looks like she's the wizard Greg" Scott told me

"Ramsey your next"

He quickly grabbed the other staff which had a lightning bolt engraved on it

"And he's the warlock, makes sense since they're twins" Scott said

"David go ahead" I told him

He was focusing intensely on the bow with elemental arrows, but looked back at the sword and reached over to grab it

"Looks like everything is set then" Tyler said clapping

"So are you guys ready for what's next" I told them

"What are you talking about Greg" Irene asked

I raised my hands in front of me as energy started forming around my hands, forming circles. I slapped them I the ground hard and it collided with them changing their looks

Irene had a cloak around her, she had tights on with a skirt covering it and along with her staff came a spell book

Ramsey had a similar look , however for his pants they were similar to slacks but had a different look and he had a hood covering his head with his right hand covered in markings.

Miguel was wearing a archer outfit except he had a scouter over his right eye and a utility belt with bombs

David had gotten a tank top shirt , showing off his arms, his jeans were baggy as well and to a big surprise the sword had gotten bigger.

"What the" Miguel said confused

"You're in battle form" I explained

"I'm enjoying this look" David said as he looked at his reflection on the sword

"Hey Ramsey were hovering, does this mean we can fly" Irene chanted

"Yes hopefully" Ramsey said

They talked more about thier new looks and I broke the silence after a while.

"Looks like you guys like the new change" I said trying to snap them back

"Oh right sorry Greg" Irene said apologetic

"So what now" Ramsey asked

"It's like your game Dungeon and Dragons except it's in real life and it's the Dream Warriors vs the Galactic Nightmares" i told with a serious look

"So this is real life" Miguel asked scared of my answer

"Yes very much........ and if we fail to take them down before the four of us reach the age of forty our powers are taken and we suffer a slow and painful death" Scott explained

They stared in shock

"So that's gonna happen to us? " Ramsey asked

"No but it will happen to Greg and I'm aware you guys don't want that" he responded with

"So much to take on at once" David said

"We're in this together guys" I said walking up to them "let's face this as a family" I said hugging them
