11.Progress

I was busy in my room preparing for my second date. I was looking forward to this one more than the first because I knew it meant something.

"Since we're going to an ice skate rink......ill need to get dressed a little more" I told myself as I looked in the mirror of my dresser

I walked over to my closet and pulled out my blue artix jacket and beanie. I walked back to the mirror and examined myself.

"This works"

I adjusted my beanie to hang more towards the back of my head and grabbed the cars keys to head out.

"Okay gotta make sure everything is unlocked , Windows , backdoor , and frontdoor. Good to go" I walked out locking the door and climbing into the Camaro.

I arrived at there cabin and Tyson was seated outside and sadly he got excited when he saw me, i never like it when that happens

"Oh hey dad how's it going" he said happily

"Alright, where's Tyler" I asked trying to get off that topic

"He's getting ready he'll be out in a little, but let's talk about ,you how's it been" he asked

I knew if this keep going on it'd eventually get uncomfortable so I raised up the window and picked up the volume on the radio. He tried getting my attention but I acted as if i had a call. After 5 minutes he walked out , waved at Tyler and climbed in. With that I took off.

"Judging by your look Tyson acted his usual right? " he asked

I nodded "yep , i was hoping you'd bet out sooner, I had to fake a call and shit"

He just laughed and reached over for my hand "Well now I'm here"

I smiled and responded by grabbing his hand and lacing my hand with his " and that's what I'm happy about"

We arrived at the ice rink , payed for our skates and made our way to the skating rink. I started doing laps around it because I enjoyed to and wanted to see if I was still able to do it. As I started my second lap I noticed I couldn't see tyler, so I skid to a stop and looked around noticing he was make he was across the wall.

"Um..... You need help" I asked him as I approached

"No... of course not I'm fine"

"Really?...... because it looks like you're getting closer to that wall then with me" I said making him laugh

"Well this wall can't replace you"

I smiled and handed him my hand "grab on ill help you learn" he reached out and I pulled him so we can head to the center.

I placed my hands on his shoulders and guided him slowly. "Okay so when you skate instead of acting like you're running , your pushing foward but to the side as well, like if you're pushing in a diagonal."

He nodded slowly , showing he barely understood it , knowing that I stopped explaining and decided to demonstrate.

"Just watch me" I took off and demonstrated slowly so he can see my every step.

After I finished I made my way back to him "alright now you go try it" he looked at me with a blank expression

"Uh....... Okay" he looked down and moved slowly. He made good pace and learned bit by bit

"You're doing good now try moving a little faster"

He sped up gradually but started to lose control. I decided to go over to him and stop him so I went to the front of him "Okay hold on ill help you stop"

He slowly approached me and he tripped on his blade and fell foward landing on to me, knocking my on my back.

"Oh my god I'm sorry are you okay" he said scared

"Don't worry , Ramsey's jumped off the tree before and landed on my like this so I'm used to it" I said laughing

"Your family is an odd bunch" he added

"Yeah but I'm happy and it keeps life interesting"

He climbed off me but fell again since he couldn't stand with the skates. I got up and stood up watching him attempt to get up

"Hey why aren't you falling?" He asked as he slipped again

I put my hands in my jacket pockets "experience" I said smiling at him

"Well help me"

"I enjoy seeing you fail" I said laughing

"You're evil" he said accepting his defeat and laughing

"Yeah but if being evil lets me see you smile" I paused as I squated down in front of him "then ill gladly be evil"as I rubbed my hand on his face

"Help me up" he said laughing

I stood up and reached my hand out so he would grab on, he reached out and I pulled him up.

"Thanks Dad" he said smirking

My face started burning a bit "you got me" I said laughing awkwardly afterwards

"Knew that was gonna get you" he said feeling powerful

"Shut up" I said grabbing him and placing him on my shoulder

"Put me down" he said playfully hitting my back

"Nah you're my child I need to help you" I said Exited the skating rink "on secind thought I need to take off my skates so ill give you a break"I said seating him on the bench

"Thank You" he said pulling off his skates

Once we were done we returned our skates and made our way back to my car

"That was a much more simpler date" I said

"Is that a bad thing"he asked

"No I really enjoyed it" I said smiling

"Well I'm glad it was"

We arrived early and the night was still young so we went back to my cabin to have time alone with just me and him

"Got anything to drink? " he said as he plopped on the couch

"Lets see ......there's Pepsi, sprite , crush , Dr.Pepper , and Budweiser" I said pulling out my Pepsi

"Can i have a Budweiser" he asked

I grabbed one and walked towards the living room and took a seat next to him. I grabbed the remote and started up Netflix

"Oooh we gonna do Netflix and chill? " he asked scooting closer

"Well not the chill part but yeah you Netflix" I said opening my drink

"Fine with me" he said resting his head on my chest

I placed my arm on his waist ,pulling him close and layed my head on top of his and enjoyed the movie.
